iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
သံကို သံဖြင့်ထက်စေသကဲ့သို့၊ လူသည်အဆွေ ခင်ပွန်း၏ မျက်နှာကို ထက်စေတတ်၏။

wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?
အသက်ရှင်သောလူသတ္တဝါသည် အဘယ် ကြောင့် မြည်တမ်းရမည်နည်း။ မိမိဒုစရိုက်အပြစ်ကြောင့် မြည်တမ်းရမည်လော။

a man void of understanding striketh hands, and becometh surety in the presence of his friend.
ဥာဏ်မဲ့သောသူသည် လက်ဝါးချင်းရိုက်၍၊ အဆွေ ခင်ပွန်းရှေ့မှာ အာမခံတတ်၏။

a man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.
လူသည် မိမိနှုတ်၏အသီးတည်းဟူသော ကောင်းသောအရာကို စားရ၏။ ပြစ်မှားတတ်သော သူမူ ကား၊ ညှဉ်းဆဲခြင်းအပြစ်၏အသီးကို စားရ၏။

a fool also is full of words: a man cannot tell what shall be; and what shall be after him, who can tell him?
မိုက်သောသူသည် စကားများတတ်၏။ သို့သော် လည်း ဖြစ်လတံ့သောအရာကို လူသည်မပြောနိုင်ရာ။ လူနောက်၌ အဘယ်သို့ ဖြစ်လတံ့သည်ကို အဘယ်သူ ပြောနိုင်သနည်း။

a man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
လူသည် ပြန်ပြောသောစကားအားဖြင့် ဝမ်း မြောက်စရာအကြောင်းရှိ၏။ အချိန်တန်၍ ပြောသော စကားသည်လည်း အလွန်လျောက်ပတ်ပေ၏။

if the men of my tabernacle said not, oh that we had of his flesh! we cannot be satisfied.
ငါ့အိမ်သူအိမ်သားတို့က၊ အဘယ်သူသည် ငါတို့သခင်၏ အမဲသားကိုတောင့်တ၍ မဝဘဲနေရ သနည်းဟု မဆိုတတ်သလော။

again, i considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. this is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
တဖန် ကြိုးစားအားထုတ်ခြင်းအမှုနှင့်၊ ကောင်း မွန်စွာ ပြီးစီးသောအမှု အလုံးစုံတို့ကို၎င်း၊ ထိုသို့သော အမှုတို့ကြောင့် သူတပါး ငြူစူကြောင်းကို၎င်း ငါဆင်ခြင် ၏။ ထိုအမှုအရာသည် အနတ္တအမှု၊ လေကို ကျက်စား သောအမှုဖြစ်၏။

and if a man smite the eye of his servant, or the eye of his maid, that it perish; he shall let him go free for his eye's sake.
သခင်သည် ကျွန်ယောက်ျား ကျွန်မိန်းမ၏ မျက်စိကို ပျက်အောင်ရိုက်လျှင်၊ မျက်စိပျက်သည်အတွက် လွှတ်ရမည်။

if a man be found stealing any of his brethren of the children of israel, and maketh merchandise of him, or selleth him; then that thief shall die; and thou shalt put evil away from among you.
လူသည် မိမိအမျိုးသားချင်းဖြစ်သော ဣသရေ လအမျိုးသားကို ခိုး၍ ကျွန်အရာ၌ ထားသည်ဖြစ်စေ၊ ရောင်းသည်ဖြစ်စေ၊ ထိုသူခိုးကို တွေ့မိလျှင် အသေသတ် ရမည်။ သင်တို့တွင် ဒုစရိုက်အပြစ်ကို ထိုသို့ ပယ်ရှားရကြ မည်။

behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.
ဖြိုဖျက်တော်မူလျှင် အဘယ်သူမျှ တည်ဆောက်ရသော အခွင့်မရှိ။ လူကို ချုပ်ထားသော်မူလျှင် အဘယ်သူမျှ လွှတ်ရသောအခွင့်မရှိ။

and if a man shall sanctify unto the lord some part of a field of his possession, then thy estimation shall be according to the seed thereof: an homer of barley seed shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver.
လူသည် ကိုယ်ပိုင်သော လယ်ယာကို ထာဝရဘုရားအဘို့ သန့်ရှင်းစေလျှင်၊ မုယောမျိုးစေ့ ကြဲရသည် အတိုင်း အဘိုးပြတ်ရမည်။ မျိုးစေ့ တဩမဲကြဲရသော လယ်ကို၊ ငွေအကျပ် ငါးဆယ်နှင့် အဘိုးပြတ် ရမည်။

if a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them:
အဘ၌ ဆိုးသောသား၊ ခက်ထန်သောသဘော ရှိ၍ မိဘစကားကို နားမထောင်သောသား၊ မိဘတို့ ဆုံးမသော်လည်း ဆုံးမခြင်းကို မခံသောသားရှိလျှင်၊

and he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.
ကိုယ်တော်သည် တပည့်တော်နှစ်ယောက်တို့ကိုစေလွှတ်၍၊ သင်တို့သည် မြို့ထဲသို့သွားကြ။ ရေအိုး ဆောင်သောသူကို တွေ့လိမ့်မည်။ ထိုသူနောက်သို့ လိုက်၍၊

and if a man purchase of the levites, then the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, shall go out in the year of jubile: for the houses of the cities of the levites are their possession among the children of israel.
လေဝိသားပိုင်သော မြို့ကို၎င်း၊ အိမ်ကို၎င်း၊ သူတပါးဝယ်လျှင်၊ ယုဘိလနှစ်ရောက်သောအခါ လက်လွှတ်ရမည်။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ဣသရေလ လူအမျိုးသားတို့တွင် လေဝိသားတို့သည်၊ ကိုယ် နေရာ မြို့အိမ်မှတပါး အခြားသော ဥစ္စာမရှိ။

if a man beget an hundred children, and live many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also that he have no burial; i say, that an untimely birth is better than he.
လူသည် နှစ်ပေါင်းများစွာ အသက်ရှည်၍၊ သားတရာပင် ရှိငြားသော်လည်း၊ အလိုဆန္ဒမပြည့်စုံဘဲ၊ သင်္ဂြိုဟ်ခြင်းကို မခံရဘဲ သေသွားလျှင်၊ ထိုသူထက် ပျက်သောကိုယ်ဝန်သည်သာ၍ မြတ်၏။

then i beheld all the work of god, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea further; though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.
ဘုရားသခင်ပြုတော်မူသော အမှုအလုံးစုံတို့ကို ငါကြည့်ရှုသောအခါ၊ နေအောက်မှာ ပြုသောအမှုများကို လူသည် စစ်၍မကုန်နိုင်။ ကြိုးစား၍ စစ်သော်လည်း၊ အကုန်အစင်မသိနိုင်။ ထိုမျှမက၊ ပညာရှိသောသူသည် ငါသိမည်ဟု ကြံသော်လည်း၊ အကြံမမြောက်နိုင်ရာ။

for, said hushai, thou knowest thy father and his men, that they be mighty men, and they be chafed in their minds, as a bear robbed of her whelps in the field: and thy father is a man of war, and will not lodge with the people.
ခမည်းတော်နှင့် သူ၏လူတို့သည် ခွန်အားကြီးသောသူဖြစ်ကြောင်းကို၎င်း၊ ယခုမူကား တော၌ သားငယ်ပျောက်သော ဝံမကဲ့သို့ ပြင်းထန်သောစိတ်ရှိကြောင်းကို၎င်း၊ ကိုယ်တော်သိတော်မူ၏။ ခမည်းတော် သည်လည်း စစ်သူရဲဖြစ်၍ လူများတို့နှင့်အတူ မအိပ်တတ်။
