and salmon begat booz of rachab; and booz begat obed of ruth; and obed begat jesse;
စာလမုန်သည် မိမိခင်ပွန်း ရာခပ်တွင်မြင်သော သားဗောဇ။ ဗောဇသည် မိမိခင်ပွန်းရုသတွင် မြင်သော သားဩဗက်။ ဩဗက်သားယေရှဲ။ ယေရှဲသား ဒါဝိဒ်မင်းကြီးတည်း။

and inquired not of the lord: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto david the son of jesse.

and jesse begat david the king; and david the king begat solomon of her that had been the wife of urias;
ဒါဝိဒ်မင်းကြီးသည် ဥရိယ၏ခင်ပွန်းဖြစ်ဘူးသော မိန်းမတွင်မြင်သောသားရှောလမုန်။

again, jesse made seven of his sons to pass before samuel. and samuel said unto jesse, the lord hath not chosen these.
တဖန်ယေရှဲသည် သားခုနစ်ယောက်တို့ကို ရှမွေလရှေ့မှာ သွားစေသဖြင့်၊ ရှမွေလက၊ ဤသူတို့ကို လည်း ထာဝရဘုရား ရွေးတော်မမူ။

and saul said to him, whose son art thou, thou young man? and david answered, i am the son of thy servant jesse the bethlehemite.
ရှောလုက၊ အချင်း လုလင်၊ သင်သည် အဘယ်သူ၏ သားဖြစ်သနည်းဟု မေးတော်မူ၏။ ဒါဝိဒ်ကလည်း ကျွန်တော်သည် ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်၊ ဗက်လင်မြို့သား ယေရှဲ၏သား ဖြစ်ပါသည်ဟု လျှောက်လေ၏။

and jesse said unto david his son, take now for thy brethren an ephah of this parched corn, and these ten loaves, and run to the camp to thy brethren;
ထိုအခါ ယေရှဲသည် မိမိသား ဒါဝိဒ်ကို ခေါ်၍၊ သင့်အစ်ကိုတို့အဘို့ ဤပေါက်ပေါက် တဧဖာနှင့် ဤမုန့်ဆယ်လုံးတို့ကို ယူ၍ အစ်ကိုတို့ရှိရာ တပ်တော်သို့ ပြေးသွားလော့။

and again, esaias saith, there shall be a root of jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the gentiles; in him shall the gentiles trust.
တဖန်ဟေရှာယဆိုသည်ကား၊ ယေရှဲ၏ အမြစ်ပေါက်၍ တပါးအမျိုးသားတို့ကို အုပ်စိုးခြင်းငှါ ပေါ်ထွန်းသောသူဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။ ထိုသူကို တပါးအမျိုးသားတို့သည် ကိုးစားကြလိမ့်မည်ဟုဆိုသတည်း။

and in that day there shall be a root of jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
ထိုကာလ၌ ယေရှဲ၏အမြစ်သည် ပေါက်၍၊လူ များအဘို့ထူသောအလံ ဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။ ထိုအလံ၌ တပါးအ မျိုးသားတို့သည် ဆည်းကပ်ကြလိမ့်မည်။ကျိန်းဝပ်တော်မူ ရာအရပ်သည်လည်း ဘုန်းကြီးလိမ့်မည်။

and the three eldest sons of jesse went and followed saul to the battle: and the names of his three sons that went to the battle were eliab the firstborn, and next unto him abinadab, and the third shammah.
ယေရှဲ၏သားတို့တွင် အသက် အကြီးဆုံးသောသူ သုံးယောက်တို့သည် စစ်မှုကို ထမ်း၍ ရှောလုနောက် သို့ လိုက်ကြ၏။ သူတို့အမည်ကား သားဦးဧလျာဘ၊ ဒုတိယသားအဘိနဒပ်၊ တတိယသားရှိမာတည်း။

and the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, there is a son born to naomi; and they called his name obed: he is the father of jesse, the father of david.
အိမ်နီးချင်းမိန်းမတို့ကလည်း၊ နောမိသည် သားယောက်ျားကိုရပြီဟုဆိုလျက်၊ ထိုသူငယ်ကိုဩဗက် အမည်ဖြင့်မှည့်ကြ၏။ ဩဗက် သားကားယေရှဲ။ ယေရှဲသားကား ဒါဝိဒ်တည်း။

and david rose up early in the morning, and left the sheep with a keeper, and took, and went, as jesse had commanded him; and he came to the trench, as the host was going forth to the fight, and shouted for the battle.
