but if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way.

'you have given pharaoh and his council adornments and possessions in this life. our lord, let them go astray from yourpath.
haƙĩƙa kai ne ka bai wa fir'auna da majalisarsa ƙawa da dũkiyõyi a cikin rãyuwar dũniya, yã ubangijinmu, dõmin su ɓatar (damutãne) daga hanyarka. yã ubangijinmu!

let them then finish with their self-neglect and let them fulfil their vows, and go about the ancient house.'
"sa'an nan kuma sai su ƙãre ibãdarsu da gusar da ƙazanta, knma sai su cika alkawuransu kuma sai su yi ɗawãfi (sunã gẽwaya) ga ¦ãkin nin 'yantacce."

the chiefs among them go about, exhorting: go and be staunch to your gods!
shũgabanni daga cikinsu, suka tafi (suka ce),"ku yi tafiyarku, ku yi haƙuri a kan abũbuwan bautawarku.

then we said to them, "go to the people who have treated our revelations as false. " so we annihilated those people utterly.
sai muka ce: "ku tafi, kũ biyu, zuwa ga mutãnen nan waɗanda suka ƙaryata game da ãyõ yinmu." sai muka darkãke su, darkãkewa.

our lord, let them go astray from thy way; our lord, obliterate their possessions, and harden their hearts so that they do not believe, till they see the painful chastisement.'
yã ubangijinmu! ka shãfe a kan dũkiyarsu kuma ka yi ɗauri a kan zukãtansu yadda bã zã su yi ĩmãni ba har su ga azãba mai raɗaɗi."

the lord said, "we tested your people after you left them and the samiri made them go astray."
ya ce: "to, lalle ne, haƙĩƙa, mun fitini, mutãnenka daga bayãnka, kuma sãmiri ya ɓatar da su."

but if they repent, and perform the prayer, and pay the alms, then let them go their way; god is all-forgiving, all-compassionate.
to, idan sun tũba, kuma suka tsayar da salla, kuma suka bãyar da zakka to ku sakar musu da hanyarsu. lalle allah ne mai gãfara, mai jin ƙai.
