जब उसे तक़लीफ छू भी गयी तो घबरा गया

on the day when it befalleth in earnest , and they are ordered to prostrate themselves but are not able ,
जिस दिन पिंडली खोल दी जाए और लोग सजदे के लिए बुलाए जाएँगे तो न कर सकेंगे

and whatsoever of affliction befalleth you is owing to that which your hands have earned ; and he pardoneth much .
और जो मुसीबत तुम पर पड़ती है वह तुम्हारे अपने ही हाथों की करतूत से और वह बहुत कुछ माफ कर देता है

naught of distress befalleth the earth or your persons but it is inscribed in the book even before we have created them . verily with allahs that is easy .
जितनी मुसीबतें रूए ज़मीन पर और ख़ुद तुम लोगों पर नाज़िल होती हैं क़ब्ल इसके कि हम उन्हें पैदा करें किताब में हैं बेशक ये ख़ुदा पर आसान है

if good befalleth thee it afflicteth them , and if calamity befalleth thee , they say : we took precaution , and they turn away well pleased .
तुमको कोई फायदा पहुंचा तो उन को बुरा मालूम होता है और अगर तुम पर कोई मुसीबत आ पड़ती तो ये लोग कहते हैं कि हमने अपना काम पहले ही ठीक कर लिया था और ख़ुश वापस लौटतें है

whatever of good befalleth thee it is from allah , and whatever of ill befalleth thee it is from thyself . we have sent thee as a messenger unto mankind and allah is sufficient as witness .
हालॉकि जब तुमको कोई फ़ायदा पहुंचे तो ख़ुदा की तरफ़ से है और जब तुमको कोई फ़ायदा पहुंचे तो ख़ुद तुम्हारी बदौलत है और हमने तुमको लोगों के पास पैग़म्बर बनाकर भेजा है और ख़ुदा की गवाही काफ़ी है

how then , when some ill befalleth them because of that which their hands have sent forth and then they come to thee swearing by allah : we meant naught save kindness and concord .
कि जब उनपर उनके करतूत की वजह से कोई मुसीबत पड़ती है तो क्योंकर तुम्हारे पास ख़ुदा की क़समें खाते हैं कि हमारा मतलब नेकी और मेल मिलाप के सिवा कुछ न था ये वह लोग हैं कि कुछ ख़ुदा ही उनके दिल की हालत ख़ूब जानता है

and verily there is among you he who laggeth behind , and if an ill befalleth you , he saith : surely allah hath bestowed favour on me in that i was not present with them .
और तुममें से बाज़ ऐसे भी हैं जो ज़रूर पीछे रहेंगे फिर अगर इत्तेफ़ाक़न तुमपर कोई मुसीबत आ पड़ी तो कहने लगे ख़ुदा ने हमपर बड़ा फ़ज़ल किया कि उनमें के साथ मौजूद न हुआ

and when we cause mankind to taste of mercy they exult thereat ; then if an evil befalleth them because of that which their hands have sent forth , lo ! they despair .
और जब हमने लोगों को चखा दी तो वह उससे खुश हो गए और जब उन्हें अपने हाथों की अगली कारसतानियो की बदौलत कोई मुसीबत पहुँची तो यकबारगी मायूस होकर बैठे रहते हैं

if good befalleth thee , it annoyeth them , and if an affliction befalleth thee , they say ; surely we took good hold of our affair before . and they turn away while they are exulting .
यदि तुम्हें कोई अच्छी हालत पेश आती है , तो उन्हें बुरा लगता है औऱ यदि तुम पर कोई मुसीबत आ जाती है , तो वे कहते है , " हमने तो अपना काम पहले ही सँभाल लिया था । " और वे ख़ुश होते हुए पलटते है

and among mankind is he who worshippeth allah upon a narrow marge so that if good befalleth him he is content therewith , but if a trial befalleth him , he falleth away utterly . he loseth both the world and the hereafter . that is the sheer loss .
और लोगों में से कुछ ऐसे भी हैं जो एक किनारे पर खुदा की इबादत करता है तो अगर उसको कोई फायदा पहुँच गया तो उसकी वजह से मुतमईन हो गया और अगर कहीं उस कोई मुसीबत छू भी गयी तो मुँह फेर के पलट पड़ा उसने दुनिया और आखेरत का घाटा उठाया यही तो सरीही घाटा है

and of mankind is he who worshippeth allah as on edge ; if there befalleth him good , he in contented therewith , and if there befalleth him a trial , he turneth round on his face ; he loseth the world and the hereafter : that indeed is a loss manifest !
और लोगों में से कुछ ऐसे भी हैं जो एक किनारे पर खुदा की इबादत करता है तो अगर उसको कोई फायदा पहुँच गया तो उसकी वजह से मुतमईन हो गया और अगर कहीं उस कोई मुसीबत छू भी गयी तो मुँह फेर के पलट पड़ा उसने दुनिया और आखेरत का घाटा उठाया यही तो सरीही घाटा है
