बल्कि काफ़िर लोग तो झुठलाते हैं

उनके दिलों में मर्ज़ था ही अब खुदा ने उनके मर्ज़ को और बढ़ा दिया और चूँकि वह लोग झूठ बोला करते थे इसलिए उन पर तकलीफ देह अज़ाब है

तुम भी तो आख़िर हमारे ही ऐसे आदमी हो पस अगर तुम सच्चे हो तो कोई मौजिज़ा हमारे पास ला

जब वह राजा के पास आया, तब राजा ने उस से पूछा, हे मीकायाह, क्या हम गिलाद के रामोत पर युठ्ठ करने को चढ़ाई करें अथवा मैं रूका रहूं? उस ने कहा, हां, तुम लोग चढ़ाई करो, और कृतार्थ होओ; और वे तुम्हारे हाथ में कर दिए जाएंगे।

the king said to him, "how many times do i have to adjure you that you speak to me nothing but the truth in the name of yahweh?"
राजा ने उस से कहा, मुझे कितनी बार तुझे शपथ धराकर चिताना होगा, कि तू यहोवा का स्मरण करके मुझ से सच ही कह।
