and we found most of them not true to their words; and indeed we found most of them disobedient.
به‌شی زۆری ئه‌و خه‌ڵکه سه‌رگه‌ردانه‌مان ده‌ست نه‌که‌وت که په‌یمان شکێن نه‌بن و به‌ڕاستی زۆربه‌ی ئه‌وانه‌مان به‌ده‌رچوو له ئاینی خوا ده‌ستکه‌وت.

and be not like those who forgot allah, so he made them forget themselves. those are the defiantly disobedient.
نه‌که‌ن وه‌کو ئه‌و که‌سانه بن که خوایان فه‌رامۆش کرد، شوێنی به‌رنامه‌که‌ی نه‌که‌وتن، خوایش ئه‌وانی له بیر خۆیان برده‌وه‌، ئه‌وانه له سنوور ده‌رچوو تاوانباره‌کانن.

o my father! serve not the shaitan, surely the shaitan is disobedient to the beneficent allah:
ئه‌ی باوکی ئازیزم! شه‌یتان مه‌په‌رسته‌، چونکه به‌ڕاستی شه‌یتان یاخی یه له خوای میهره‌بان و سه‌رکه‌شیی کردووه‌.

and [we destroyed] the people of noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient.
پێشتریش هۆزی نوح به‌ڕاستی هه‌ر تاوانبارو خوانه‌ناس ولارو وێربوون (ئه‌وانیشمان به‌زریانه‌که له‌ناوبرد).

and we have certainly revealed to you verses [which are] clear proofs, and no one would deny them except the defiantly disobedient.
سوێند بێت به خوا ئێمه بێگومان نیشانه‌و ئایه‌تی ڕوونمان بۆ تۆ ناردووه (ئه‌ی محمد (صلی الله علیه وسلم) كه‌س باوه‌ڕی پێی له‌ق نابێت، جگه له ده‌روون نه‌خۆش و یاخی بووه‌كان.

and if they had believed in allah and the prophet and in what was revealed to him, they would not have taken them as allies; but many of them are defiantly disobedient.
خۆ ئه‌گه‌ر ئه‌وانه باوه‌ڕیان به‌خواو به‌م پێغه‌مبه‌ره‌و ئه‌و قورئانه ببوایه که بۆی دابه‌زیوه‌، ئه‌وه ئه‌وانه‌یان نه‌ده‌کرد به‌خۆشه‌ویست و سه‌رپه‌رشتیاری خۆیان، پشتیان به‌وان نه‌ده‌به‌ست، به‌ڵام زۆربه‌یان تاوانبارو لاده‌رو یاخین و (حه‌ق و ڕاستی مه‌به‌ستیان نیه‌، به‌ڵکو به‌رده‌وام دژایه‌تی ئاینی ئیسلام ده‌که‌ن).

"and we had no authority over you. nay! but you were transgressing people (disobedient, polytheists, and disbelievers).
خۆ ئێمه هیچ زۆر و ده‌سه‌ڵاتێکمان به سه‌رتاندا نه‌بوو، ده‌ستمان نه‌ده‌ڕۆشت به‌سه‌رتاندا، ئێوه هه‌ر خۆتان له سنوور ده‌رچوو بوون.

[he was told,] ‘what! now? when you have been disobedient heretofore and were among the agents of corruption?!
(ئه‌وسا پێی وترا) ئایا ئێسته‌، (باوه‌ڕ ده‌هێنیت!) له‌کاتێکدا به‌ڕاستی پێشتر یاخی بوویت و له ڕیزی ئه‌وانه‌دا بوویت که تۆوی خراپه‌یان ده‌چاند؟!
