as concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.

put on therefore, as the elect of god, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

again, think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? we speak before god in christ: but we do all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying.
