the sentence of our lord has come true for us. we have certainly to taste (the punishment),

now the word of our lord hath been fulfilled concerning us. lo! we are about to taste (the doom).

and if we cause man to taste some mercy from us and afterward withdraw it from him, lo! he is despairing, thankless.

but verily we shall cause those who disbelieve to taste an awful doom, and verily we shall requite them the worst of what they used to do.

but surely, we shall cause those who disbelieve to taste a severe torment, and certainly, we shall requite them the worst of what they used to do.
하나님은 불신자로 하여금 가혹한 벌을 맛보게 할 것이며 그 들이 행한 모든 사악함에 대하여 그들에게 벌을 내릴 것이라

they may enjoy the life of this world, but in the end they must return to us, and then we shall cause them to taste severe chastisement for their disbelieving.'
그들은 세상을 잠시 향락한 후 하나님께로 돌아오나니 그분은그들이 불신한 것에 대하여 가혹 한 벌을 맛보게 하리라

"so now the word of our lord has been justified against us, that we shall certainly (have to) taste (the torment).
진리인 주님의 말씀이 입증 되었으니 이제 우리는 우리 죄에 대한 벌을 받아야 할 뿐이라

and when we cause mankind to taste of mercy they exult thereat; then if an evil befalleth them because of that which their hands have sent forth, lo! they despair.
하나님이 인간에게 은혜를 맛보게 할 때면 그들은 그것으로 기뻐하나 그들의 손이 저지른 것으로 인하여 그들에게 재앙이 이를 때 보라 그들은 절망에 빠지노라

and if we cause him to taste grace after some misfortune that had befallen him, he saith: the ills have gone from me. lo! he is exultant, boastful;
또한 그로하여금 고난을 거두고 은혜를 맛보게 하니 그들은 모든 사악함이 내게서 떠났도다 말하면서 열광에 빠지며 거만해지더라

"so now has been proved true, against us, the word of our lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins).
