실로 하나님께서 이 고을의 백성들에게 하늘의 벌을 내리게 하리니 이는 그들의 사악함 때문 이라

하 나 님 의 진 노 가 불 의 로 진 리 를 막 는 사 람 들 의 모 든 경 건 치 않 음 과 불 의 에 대 하 여 하 늘 로 좇 아 나 타 나 나

then the evildoers substituted a saying other than that which had been said to them; so we sent down upon the evildoers wrath out of heaven for their ungodliness.
그러나 그 우매한 사람들은 그들에게 계시된 말씀을 변조하였 으니 하나님께서 그 우매한 사람 들에게 하늘로부터 혹사병을 보내 도다. 이는 그들이 계속 죄를 범했기 때문이라

teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
우 리 를 양 육 하 시 되 경 건 치 않 은 것 과 이 세 상 정 욕 을 다 버 리 고 근 신 함 과 의 로 움 과 경 건 함 으 로 이 세 상 에 살

so, when they forgot that they were reminded of; we delivered those who were forbidding wickedness, and we seized the evildoers with evil chastisement for their ungodliness.
그러나 그들에게 경고된 교훈을 망각한 무리가 있었으니 하 나님은 사악함을 멀리한 백성만을 구하고 죄지은 백성에게는 그들이 지은 죄로 말미암아 엄한 벌을 주 었노라

and when we desire to destroy a city, we command its men who live at ease, and they commit ungodliness therein, then the word is realized against it, and we destroy it utterly.
하나님이 한 고을을 멸망코 자 했을 때 안이한 생활을 영위하 던 그들에게 명령을 내렸노라 그 러나 저들은 그 안에서 거역하노 라 그리하여 그분은 진리로서 그 들을 멸망케 했노라

and eat not of that over which god's name has not been mentioned; it is ungodliness. the satans inspire their friends to dispute with you; if you obey them, you are idolaters.
하나님의 이름으로 도살되 지 아니한 고기는 먹지 말라 그것 은 죄악이니라 그러나 사탄은 그 들의 동료들로 하여금 너희와 논 쟁토록 고무하도다 만일 너희가 그들에게 복종한다면 너희는 실로 불신자들이라
