އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެ ދެބޭކަލުންނާއި، އެ ދެބޭކަލުންގެ قوم ގެމީހުން ބޮޑުވެގެންވާ ހިތާމައިން ސަލާމަތް ކުރެއްވީމެވެ.

and we saved them and their people from the great affliction,
އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެ ދެބޭކަލުންނާއި، އެ ދެބޭކަލުންގެ قوم ގެމީހުން ބޮޑުވެގެންވާ ހިތާމައިން ސަލާމަތް ކުރެއްވީމެވެ.

when he removes your affliction then some of you set up associates to their lord
ދެން އެކަލާނގެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ކިބައިން، އެ ދަތިحال ފިއްލަވައިފިނަމަ، އެހާރުން ތިޔަބައިމީހުންކުރެ ބަޔަކު، އެއުރެންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއަށް شريك ކުރެތެވެ.

but when we removed from them the affliction, at once they broke their word.
ފަހެ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންގެ ކިބައިން عذاب ފިއްލަވައިފިހިނދު، އެހާރުން އެއުރެން عهد އުވައިލަތެވެ.

so there came upon the garden an affliction from your lord while they were asleep.
ފަހެ (އެރޭ) އެއުރެން ނިދާފައިތިއްބައި، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ حضرة ން ބަލާއެއް، އެ ބަގީޗާގެ މައްޗަށް އައެވެ.

so we answered him, and saved him from the affliction. thus we save the faithful.
ފަހެ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެކަލޭގެފާނަށް އިޖާބަ ދެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި ދަތިކަމާއި، މޮޅިވެރިކަމުން އެކަލޭގެފާނު ސަލާމަތްކުރެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި އެފަދައިން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ مؤمن ތަކުން ސަލާމަތްކުރައްވަމެވެ.

the fire shall scorch their faces, and they therein shall be in severe affliction.
ނަރަކައިގެ އަލިފާން އެއުރެންގެ މޫނުތައް އަންދާނެތެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެން އެތާނގައި ރުޅިމޫނު ހަދައިގެން ތިބޭނެތެވެ.

but lo, each time we removed our affliction from them, they would go back on their word.
ފަހެ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންގެ ކިބައިން عذاب ފިއްލަވައިފިހިނދު، އެހާރުން އެއުރެން عهد އުވައިލަތެވެ.

say: allah delivereth you from this and from all affliction. yet ye attribute partners unto him.
ކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވާށެވެ! އެކަމުންވެސް އަދި ކޮންމެ ހިތާމައަކުންވެސް ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ސަލާމަތްކުރައްވާނީ اللَّه އެވެ. ދެން އެއަށްފަހުވެސް، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން شريك ކުރަމުއެވެ.

if we took compassion on them and removed the affliction they are in, they would only wander lost in confusion.
އެއުރެންނަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ رحمة ލައްވައި، އެއުރެންގެ ކިބައިގައިވާ ދަތިކަން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ފިއްލެވިނަމަވެސް، އެއުރެންގެ މަގުފުރެދުމުގައި ދެވޭނުދެވޭތަނެއް ނޭނގޭގޮތުގައި، އެއުރެން ދެމިތިބީހެވެ.

and whatsoever of affliction befalleth you is owing to that which your hands have earned; and he pardoneth much.
ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް ޖެހޭހާ مصيبة އެއް ޖެހެނީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ އަތްތަކުން ހޯދިކަންތަކުގެ ސަބަބުންނެވެ. އަދި އެކަލާނގެ ގިނަފާފަތައް عفو ކުރައްވަތެވެ.

and noah, when he cried of old, we heard his prayer and saved him and his household from the great affliction.
އަދި އޭގެކުރިން، نوح ގެފާނު (ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ حضرة އަށް) دعاء ކުރެއްވިހިނދު، ހަނދުމަކުރާށެވެ! ފަހެ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެކަލޭގެފާނަށް އިޖާބަދެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި ބޮޑުވެގެންވާނުރައްކަލުން އެކަލޭގެފާނާއި، އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ أهل ވެރިން ސަލާމަތްކުރެއްވީމެވެ.

and beware of an affliction that will not smite exclusively those among you who have done wrong. know that god is severe in exacting retribution.
އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ފިތުނައަކަށް ބިރުވެތިވެ ރައްކާތެރިވާށެވެ! އެ ފިތުނައައިސް ޖެހިދާހުށީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން އަނިޔާވެރިވި މީހުންނަށް އެކަންޏެއްނޫނެވެ. އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، اللَّه އީ، عقوبات ގަދަފަދަވެގެންވާ ކަލާނގެކަން ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ދަންނާށެވެ!

and if god visits thee with affliction none can remove it but he; and if he visits thee with good, he is powerful over everything.
އަދި اللَّه، ތިބާޔަށް ގެއްލުމެއް މެދުވެރިކުރައްވާނަމަ، އެކަލާނގެ މެނުވީ އެކަން ފިއްލަވާނެ އެހެންފަރާތެއް ނުވެއެވެ. އަދި އެކަލާނގެ ތިބާޔަށް ހެޔޮގޮތެއް މެދުވެރިކުރައްވާނަމަ، (އެކަން ދުރުކުރާނޭ އެހެންފަރާތެއް ނުވެއެވެ.) ފަހެ، އެކަލާނގެއީ ކޮންމެކަމެއްގެ މައްޗަށް ކުޅަދުންވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.
