ދެރަވެގެންވާ ފެނަކުން (އެބަހީ: މަނިފޮދަކުން) ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ނަހައްދަވަން ހެއްޔެވެ؟

do not yield to any contemptible swearer of oaths,
އަދި ގިނަގިނައިން ހުވާކޮށްހަދާ، އިހާނަތްތެރިކަން ލިބިގެންވާ ކޮންމެ މީހަކަށް ކަލޭގެފާނު ކިޔަމަންވެވަޑައިނުގަންނަވާށެވެ!

say, "yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible."
ކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވާށެވެ! އާނއެކެވެ! ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ނިކަމެތިވެގެންވާ حال ގައެވެ.

އެއީ އެކަން އޮތްގޮތެވެ. އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، اللَّه އީ، كافر ންގެ މަކަރުވެރި ރޭވުންތައް ނިކަމެތިކުރައްވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

am i better or this contemptible man who is scarcely able to express himself?

nay! i am better than this fellow, who is contemptible, and who can hardly speak distinctly:
އަދި ކީއްހެއްޔެވެ؟ މިހިރަ ދެރަނިކަމެތި މީހާއަށްވުރެ (އެބަހީ: موسى ގެފާނަށްވުރެ) ތިމަން މާމޮޅެވެ. އޭނާއީ، ދައްކާ ވާހަކަ بيان ކޮށްދިނުމާ ގާތްވެސް ނުކުރެވޭ މީހެކެވެ.

am i (not) better than him who is contemptible, and cannot even express himself clearly?

allah had already given you the victory at badr, when ye were contemptible. so observe your duty to allah in order that ye may be thankful.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ނިކަމެތީން ކަމުގައިވަނިކޮށް، بدر ހަނގުރާމައިގައި اللَّه، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް نصر ދެއްވިއެވެ. ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން اللَّه އަށް تقوى ވެރިވާށެވެ! (އެއީ) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން شكر ވެރި ވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

allah had helped you at badr, when ye were a contemptible little force; then fear allah; thus may ye show your gratitude.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ނިކަމެތީން ކަމުގައިވަނިކޮށް، بدر ހަނގުރާމައިގައި اللَّه، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް نصر ދެއްވިއެވެ. ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން اللَّه އަށް تقوى ވެރިވާށެވެ! (އެއީ) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން شكر ވެރި ވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

"am i not better than this (moses), who is a contemptible wretch and can scarcely express himself clearly?
އަދި ކީއްހެއްޔެވެ؟ މިހިރަ ދެރަނިކަމެތި މީހާއަށްވުރެ (އެބަހީ: موسى ގެފާނަށްވުރެ) ތިމަން މާމޮޅެވެ. އޭނާއީ، ދައްކާ ވާހަކަ بيان ކޮށްދިނުމާ ގާތްވެސް ނުކުރެވޭ މީހެކެވެ.

am i not better than this contemptible (man), who can scarcely make things clear (because of the impediment of his speech)?
އަދި ކީއްހެއްޔެވެ؟ މިހިރަ ދެރަނިކަމެތި މީހާއަށްވުރެ (އެބަހީ: موسى ގެފާނަށްވުރެ) ތިމަން މާމޮޅެވެ. އޭނާއީ، ދައްކާ ވާހަކަ بيان ކޮށްދިނުމާ ގާތްވެސް ނުކުރެވޭ މީހެކެވެ.

those among you who divorce their wives by declaring them to be their mothers, such are not their mothers; none are their mothers except those who gave birth to them. indeed what they say is highly contemptible and false.
ތިޔަބައިމީހުންކުރެ އަނބިންނަށް ظهار ކުރާމީހުން (ދަންނާށެވެ!) އެކަނބަލުންނަކީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ މައިންނެއްނޫނެވެ. އެއުރެންވިހޭ ކަނބަލުން މެނުވީ، އެއުރެންގެ މައިންކަމުގައި ނުވެތެވެ. އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެއުރެން އެ ބުނަނީ مُنكَر ބަހެކެވެ. އަދި ދޮގެކެވެ. އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، اللَّه އީ، ގިނަގިނައިން عفو ކުރައްވާ، ގިނަގިނައިން ފާފަފުއްސަވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

"begone," said (god), "contemptible and rejected! as for those who follow you, i shall fill up hell with all of you.
އެކަލާނގެ وحى ކުރެއްވިއެވެ. މަލާމާތް ލިބި، رحمة ން ދުރުކުރައްވާފައިވާ حال، ތިޔަތަނުން ކަލޭ ނުކުންނާށެވެ! އެއުރެންގެ ތެރެއިން ކަލެޔަށް تبع ވީ މީހުންނާއި، ތިޔަ އެންމެން އަޅުއްވައި، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ނަރަކަ ފުރުއްވާހުށީމެވެ.
