اللَّه މެނުވީ އެދުވަސް ހާމަކުރާނޭ އެއްވެސްފަރާތެއް ނުވެއެވެ.

do you then marvel at this discourse,
اللَّه މެނުވީ އެދުވަސް ހާމަކުރާނޭ އެއްވެސްފަރާތެއް ނުވެއެވެ.

verily, it is a discourse distinguishing.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެ قرآن އަކީ، حق އާއި، باطل ވަކިކުރާ ތެދުބަސްފުޅެއްކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

what! do you take lightly this discourse?
ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ދޮގުކޮށް ފަރުވާކުޑަކުރަނީ، މިވާހަކައާމެދުގައި (އެބަހީ: މި قرآن އާ މެދުގައި) ހެއްޔެވެ؟

is it this discourse that ye hold lightly?
ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ދޮގުކޮށް ފަރުވާކުޑަކުރަނީ، މިވާހަކައާމެދުގައި (އެބަހީ: މި قرآن އާ މެދުގައި) ހެއްޔެވެ؟

therein they hear no vain or sinful discourse.
ބޭކާރު ބަސްތަކެއްވެސް، އަދި ކުށްވެރިކުރަނިވި ބަސްތަކެއްވެސް، އެތާކު އެއުރެންނަކަށް ނީވޭނެތެވެ.

how can you regard this discourse with disdain?
ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ދޮގުކޮށް ފަރުވާކުޑަކުރަނީ، މިވާހަކައާމެދުގައި (އެބަހީ: މި قرآن އާ މެދުގައި) ހެއްޔެވެ؟

after this, in what discourse will they believe?
ފަހެ، އެ قرآن އަށްފަހު، އެއުރެން إيمان ވަނީ، ކޮން ވާހަކައަކަށް ހެއްޔެވެ؟

do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem,
ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ދޮގުކޮށް ފަރުވާކުޑަކުރަނީ، މިވާހަކައާމެދުގައި (އެބަހީ: މި قرآن އާ މެދުގައި) ހެއްޔެވެ؟

do you marvel then at this discourse (the koran)?
اللَّه މެނުވީ އެދުވަސް ހާމަކުރާނޭ އެއްވެސްފަރާތެއް ނުވެއެވެ.

in what discourse, then, after it, will they believe?
ފަހެ، އެ قرآن އަށްފަހު، އެއުރެން إيمان ވަނީ، ކޮން ވާހަކައަކަށް ހެއްޔެވެ؟

and as to the favour of thine lord discourse thou thereof.
އަދި ދަންނާށެވެ! ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ ދެއްވި نعمة ގެ ވާހަކައިން، ފަހެ، ކަލޭގެފާނު ވާހަކަ ދައްކަވައި އުޅުއްވާށެވެ!

let them bring a discourse like thereunto, if they say sooth.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެންނީ، ތެދުބުނާބަޔަކު ކަމުގައިވާނަމަ، އެފަދަ قرآن އަކާއިގެން އައިސްބަލާށެވެ!

we have sent it down as a clear discourse that you may understand.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެ ފޮތް ބާވައިލެއްވީ، عرب ބަހުންއޮތް قرآن އެއް ކަމުގައެވެ. އެއީ ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ވިސްނައި ފިކުރުކުރުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

then let them bring a discourse like it, if they speak truly.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެންނީ، ތެދުބުނާބަޔަކު ކަމުގައިވާނަމަ، އެފަދަ قرآن އަކާއިގެން އައިސްބަލާށެވެ!

let them produce a discourse like it if they are true in their claim.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެންނީ، ތެދުބުނާބަޔަކު ކަމުގައިވާނަމަ، އެފަދަ قرآن އަކާއިގެން އައިސްބަލާށެވެ!

certainly we have carried on this discourse for them so that they may take admonition.
އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ وحى ގެ ބަސްފުޅު (އެބަހީ: قرآن) ވިދިވިދިގެން ބާވައިލައްވައި، އެއުރެންނާ ހަމަޔަށް ގެނެސްދެއްވީމެވެ. (އެއީ) އެއުރެން ހަނދުމަކުރުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

and we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses.
އަދި باطل ވާހަކަ ދައްކާ މީހުންނާ އެކުގައި، ތިމަންމެން باطل ވާހަކަ ދައްކައި އުޅުނީމުއެވެ.

so they disputed with one another about their affair and kept the discourse secret.
ދެން އެއުރެންގެ ކަންތަކާމެދު (އެބަހީ: موسى ގެފާނާމެދު) އެއުރެންގެ މެދުގައި خلاف ވެ ދެކޮޅުވެރިވެއްޖައޫއެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންކުޅަ ސައްލާތައް (މީސްތަކުންނަށް) އެއުރެން ސިއްރުކޮށްފޫއެވެ.

and we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it],
އަދި باطل ވާހަކަ ދައްކާ މީހުންނާ އެކުގައި، ތިމަންމެން باطل ވާހަކަ ދައްކައި އުޅުނީމުއެވެ.
