we do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެއުރެން ބުނާ ބުނުމުން ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ހިތްޕުޅު ދަތިވާކަން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވަމެވެ.

and grieve not for them and be not distressed because of what they plan.
އަދި އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް ކަލޭގެފާނު ހިތާމަ ނުކުރައްވާށެވެ! އަދި އެއުރެން މަކަރުހަދާ ކަންތަކުން ހިތްޕުޅު ދަތިވުމެއްގެ ތެރޭގައި ކަލޭގެފާނު ވެވަޑައި ނުގަންނަވާށެވެ!

and man cries (distressed): 'what is the matter with her?'-
އަދި އެ ބިންގަނޑަށް އެވަނީ ކީއްހެއްޔޭ އިންސާނާ ބުނެފިހިނދެވެ.

and do not grieve upon them, nor be distressed because of their scheming.
އަދި އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް ކަލޭގެފާނު ހިތާމަ ނުކުރައްވާށެވެ! އަދި އެއުރެން މަކަރުހަދާ ކަންތަކުން ހިތްޕުޅު ދަތިވުމެއްގެ ތެރޭގައި ކަލޭގެފާނު ވެވަޑައި ނުގަންނަވާށެވެ!

(o prophet), do not grieve over them, nor be distressed at their designs.
އަދި އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް ކަލޭގެފާނު ހިތާމަ ނުކުރައްވާށެވެ! އަދި އެއުރެން މަކަރުހަދާ ކަންތަކުން ހިތްޕުޅު ދަތިވުމެއްގެ ތެރޭގައި ކަލޭގެފާނު ވެވަޑައި ނުގަންނަވާށެވެ!

we have not revealed unto thee (muhammad) this qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed,
ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ މައްޗަށް މި قرآن ބާވައިލެއްވީ، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ހިތްޕުޅު ދަތިވެ، އަބާއްޖަވެރިވުމަކަށް ނޫނެވެ.

we have not sent down on thee the qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. *chapter: 20
ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ މައްޗަށް މި قرآن ބާވައިލެއްވީ، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ހިތްޕުޅު ދަތިވެ، އަބާއްޖަވެރިވުމަކަށް ނޫނެވެ.

and when our messengers came unto lot, he was distressed and knew not how to protect them. he said: this is a distressful day.
އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ رسول ން (އެބަހީ: ملائكة ން) لوط ގެފާނުގެ އަރިހަށް ވަޑައިގަތްހިނދު (قوم ގެމީހުންގެ فاسد ކަމުގެ ސަބަބުން، އެބޭކަލުންނަށް ދެރަގޮތެއް ވެދާނެތީ) އެބޭކަލުންނާމެދު ދެރަފުޅުވެ ހިތާމަކުރެއްވިއެވެ. އަދި އެބޭކަލުންނާމެދު ހިތްޕުޅު ދަތިވިއެވެ. އަދި ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. މިއީ ވަރަށް ހިތާމަވެރި ދުވަހެކެވެ.

and when our messengers came to lot, he was troubled and distressed for them, and said: 'this is a harsh day'
އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ رسول ން (އެބަހީ: ملائكة ން) لوط ގެފާނުގެ އަރިހަށް ވަޑައިގަތްހިނދު (قوم ގެމީހުންގެ فاسد ކަމުގެ ސަބަބުން، އެބޭކަލުންނަށް ދެރަގޮތެއް ވެދާނެތީ) އެބޭކަލުންނާމެދު ދެރަފުޅުވެ ހިތާމަކުރެއްވިއެވެ. އަދި އެބޭކަލުންނާމެދު ހިތްޕުޅު ދަތިވިއެވެ. އަދި ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. މިއީ ވަރަށް ހިތާމަވެރި ދުވަހެކެވެ.

believers, do not be like those who distressed moses and then allah declared him quit of the ill they spoke about him; and he had a high standing with allah.
އޭ إيمان ވެއްޖެ މީސްތަކުންނޭވެ! موسى ގެފާނަށް އުނދަގޫކޮށް އުޅުނު މީހުން ފަދައިން ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ނުވާށެވެ! ފަހެ، އެއުރެން އެކަލޭގެފާނާމެދު ދެއްކި ވާހަކައިން، اللَّه، އެކަލޭގެފާނު ބަރީއަކުރެއްވިއެވެ. އަދި اللَّه ގެ حضرة ގައި އެކަލޭގެފާނު، قدر އުފުލިގެންވާ ބޭކަލަކު ކަމުގައި ވިއެވެ.

and it was revealed to noah that, "no one will believe from your people except those who have already believed, so do not be distressed by what they have been doing.
نوح ގެފާނަށް وحى އިއްވެވިއެވެ. ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ قوم ގެމީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން މިހާތަނަށް إيمان ވެގެންތިބި މީހުން މެނުވީ، إيمان އެއް ނުވާނެތެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެން ކޮށްއުޅޭ ކަންތަކާމެދު، ކަލޭގެފާނު ހިތާމަ ނުކުރައްވާށެވެ!

(muhammad), do not be grieved (about their disbelief) nor distressed about their evil plans against you.
އަދި އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް ކަލޭގެފާނު ހިތާމަ ނުކުރައްވާށެވެ! އަދި އެއުރެން މަކަރުހަދާ ކަންތަކުން ހިތްޕުޅު ދަތިވުމެއްގެ ތެރޭގައި ކަލޭގެފާނު ވެވަޑައި ނުގަންނަވާށެވެ!

and it was revealed to noah, saying, 'none of thy people shall believe but he who has already believed; so be thou not distressed by that they may be doing.
نوح ގެފާނަށް وحى އިއްވެވިއެވެ. ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ قوم ގެމީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން މިހާތަނަށް إيمان ވެގެންތިބި މީހުން މެނުވީ، إيمان އެއް ނުވާނެތެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެން ކޮށްއުޅޭ ކަންތަކާމެދު، ކަލޭގެފާނު ހިތާމަ ނުކުރައްވާށެވެ!

and it was inspired in noah, (saying): no-one of thy folk will believe save him who hath believed already. be not distressed because of what they do.
نوح ގެފާނަށް وحى އިއްވެވިއެވެ. ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ قوم ގެމީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން މިހާތަނަށް إيمان ވެގެންތިބި މީހުން މެނުވީ، إيمان އެއް ނުވާނެތެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެން ކޮށްއުޅޭ ކަންތަކާމެދު، ކަލޭގެފާނު ހިތާމަ ނުކުރައްވާށެވެ!

in order that they may gain their benefit, and mention the name of allah on the appointed days as he has bestowed the sustenance to them – the inarticulate animals; therefore eat from them yourself and feed the distressed destitute.
އެއީ އެއުރެންނަށްހުރި (دينى އަދި دنيوى) މަންފާތަކެއް ލިބިގަތުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. އަދި ކަނޑައެޅި އެނގިގެންވާ ދުވަސްތަކެއްގައި، އެއުރެން اللَّه ގެ اسم ފުޅު ހަނދުމަކޮށް އުޅުމަށެވެ. نعم ސޫފީގެ نعمة އެއުރެންނަށް ދެއްވިކަމަށްޓަކައެވެ. ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެއިން ކައިއުޅޭށެވެ! އަދި ދަތިحال ގައިވާ فقير ންނަށް (އެއިން) ކާންދޭށެވެ!

"(are the idols worthier or) the one who answers the prayers of the distressed ones, removes their hardship, and makes you the successors in the land? is there any lord besides god?
ނުވަތަ ދަތި އުނދަގޫ حال ޖެހިފައިވާ މީހާ، އެކަލާނގެއަށް دعاء ކުރާހިނދު، އެމީހާގެ دعاء އިޖާބަކުރައްވައި، އަދި ނުބައިކަން ދުރުކުރައްވައި، އަދި ބިމުގެ خليفة އިން ކަމުގައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންލައްވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެ ހެއްޔެވެ؟ اللَّه އާއެކު އެހެން إله އަކު ވޭހެއްޔެވެ؟ ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހަނދުމަކުރަނީ ވަރަށްވެސް މަދުންނެވެ.
