and when its inhabitants perceived our punishment, at once they fled from it.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެންނަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ عذاب ގާތްވެއްޖެކަން إحساس ވީހިނދު، އެހާރުން އެއުރެން އެތަނުން ފިލާންދުވެތެވެ.

ފަހެ، އެއުރެން، އެއުރެންގެ ފާފަތަކަށް اعتراف ވާނެތެވެ. ފަހެ، ނަރަކައިގެ أهل ވެރިންނަށް رحمة ން ދުރުކުރެއްވުން ހުށްޓެވެ.

cite for them the example of the inhabitants of the town when the apostles came to it.
ރަށެއްގެ أهل ވެރިންގެ ވާހަކަ مثال އެއްގެ ގޮތުގައި، ކަލޭގެފާނު އެއުރެންނަށް ކިޔައިދެއްވާށެވެ! (އެއީ) އެއުރެންގެ ގާތަށް رسول ން ވަޑައިގަތްހިނދުގައެވެ.

ފަހެ، އެއުރެން، އެއުރެންގެ ފާފަތަކަށް اعتراف ވާނެތެވެ. ފަހެ، ނަރަކައިގެ أهل ވެރިންނަށް رحمة ން ދުރުކުރެއްވުން ހުށްޓެވެ.

and aad, and thamood, and the inhabitants of arras, and many generations in between.
އަދި عاد ބާގައިމީހުންނާއި، ثمود ބާގައިމީހުންނާއި، رس ގެأهل ވެރިންނާއި، އެދެމެދުގައިވާ އެތައް ޖީލުތަކެއްވެސްމެއެވެ. (ނޯޓު: رس ގެ أهل ވެރިންނީ، نجد ކަރައިގެ يمامة އެވެ ކިޔާ ރަށުގައި އުޅުނު ބަޔެއްކަމަށް ވެއެވެ.)

all this is certainly true -- the inhabitants of the fire will blame one another in this way.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ނަރަކައިގެ أهل ވެރިންގެ އަރާރުމުގެ ވާހަކައަކީ، އެއީ حق ތެދުކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

and the unbelievers, who cried lies to our signs -- they shall be the inhabitants of hell.
އަދި كافر ވެ ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ آية ތައް ދޮގުކުޅަމީހުން އެއީ، ނަރަކައިގެ أهل ވެރިންނެވެ.

and propound thou unto them the similitude of the inhabitants of a town, when there came thereto the sent ones;
ރަށެއްގެ أهل ވެރިންގެ ވާހަކަ مثال އެއްގެ ގޮތުގައި، ކަލޭގެފާނު އެއުރެންނަށް ކިޔައިދެއްވާށެވެ! (އެއީ) އެއުރެންގެ ގާތަށް رسول ން ވަޑައިގަތްހިނދުގައެވެ.

not equal are the inhabitants of the fire and the inhabitants of paradise. it is the inhabitants of paradise who are the winners.
ނަރަކައިގެ أهل ވެރިންނާއި، ސުވަރުގޭގެ أهل ވެރިން ހަމަހަމައެއް ނުވާނެތެވެ. ސުވަރުގޭގެ أهل ވެރިންނީ، ހަމަ نصيب ލިބިގެންވާ މީހުންނެވެ.

and the inhabitants of the city came rejoicing (at the news of the young men's arrival).
(އަލަށް ބަޔަކު ރަށަށް އައިވާހަކަ އިވި) އުފާކުރާ حال، ރަށުގެ أهل ވެރިން އައޫއެވެ.

[its inhabitants will say], "this is a company bursting in with you. no welcome for them.
(އެއުރެންގެ ބޮޑުންނަށް އަންގަވާނެތެވެ.) މިއީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނާއެކު ނަރަޔަކަށްވަންނަ ބައިގަނޑެކެވެ. އެއުރެންނަށް ތަނަވަސްކަމެއްނެތެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެއުރެންނީ ނަރަކައަށް ވަންނާނެބަޔެކެވެ.

and how many a town did we destroy whose inhabitants exulted on account of their affluence. these are their dwellings in which very few dwelt after them.
އަދި އެއުރެންނަށް ދެއްވި ދިރިއުޅުމުގެ ތަނަވަސްކަމުގެ މައްޗަށް كبر ވެރިވެގެން އުޅުނު ކިތައްކިތައް ރަށުގެ أهل ވެރިން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަލާކުކޮށްލެއްވިން ހެއްޔެވެ؟ ފަހެ، އެއުރެންގެ ގެދޮރު (ފެންނާން) އެހުރީއެވެ. ވަރަށްމަދު ހިނދުކޮޅެއްގައި މެނުވީ، އެއިން ގެއެއްގައި އެއުރެންނަށްފަހު، މީހަކަށް ނޫޅެވެތެވެ. އަދި ދެމިހުންނަނިވި ވާރުތަވެރިޔަކީވެސް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ. (އެބަހީ: އެންމެހާ ތަކެތި ފަނާވެދިއުމަށްފަހުވެސް ދިރިދެމިވޮޑިގެންވަނީ ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.)

and they will then say: 'if only we had listened and understood we should not now be among the inhabitants of the blaze'
އަދި އެއުރެން ބުނާނެތެވެ. ތިމަންމެން އަޑުއަހާކަމުގައިވީނަމަ، ނުވަތަ ވިސްނައި فكر ކުރާކަމުގައިވީނަމަ، ނަރަކައިގެ أهل ވެރިންގެ ތެރެޔަކު ތިމަންމެން ނުވީހެވެ.

among the desert-arabs around you there are some hypocrites, and among the inhabitants of medina too. they have become adamant in hypocrisy.
އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ވަށައިގެންވާ أعرابى ންގެ ތެރެއިން منافق ންގެ ބަޔަކުވެސްވެއެވެ. އަދި منافق ކަމުގެ މައްޗަށް ހޭނިފައިތިބި ބަޔަކު المدينة ގެ أهل ވެރިންގެ ތެރެއިންވެއެވެ. ކަލޭގެފާނަކަށް އެއުރެން އެނގިވަޑައެއް ނުގަނެތެވެ. ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެން ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވަމެވެ. ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންނަށް ދެފަހަރު عذاب ދެއްވާހުށީމެވެ. ދެން ބޮޑުވެގެންވާ عذاب އެއްގެ ތެރެއަށް އެއުރެން ރައްދުކުރައްވާ ހުށްޓެވެ.

and those who disbelieved and cried lies to our signs, those shall be the inhabitants of the fire. therein to dwell forever -- an evil homecoming!
އަދި كافر ވެ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ آية ތައް ދޮގުކުޅަމީހުން (ދަންނާށެވެ!) އެއުރެންނީ، ނަރަކައިގެ أهل ވެރިންނެވެ. އެތާނގައި އެއުރެން ދެމިތިބެނިވި ގޮތުގައެވެ. އަދި އެއީ ހާދަހާ ނުބައިވެގެންވާ ނިމިދިޔުމެކެވެ.
