and made therein much mischief.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން އެ ރަށްތަކުގައި ފަސާދަވެރިކަން ގިނަކުޅައޫއެވެ.

from the mischief of created things;
އެކަލާނގެ ހައްދަވާފައިވާހާ ތަކެތީގެ ނުބައިކަމުންނެވެ.

from the mischief of darkness as it overspreads;
އަދި ރޭގަނޑުގެ އަނދިރިކަން ގަދަވެގެންފިހިނދު، އެ ރޭގަނޑުގެ ނުބައިކަމުންވެސްމެއެވެ.

and heaped therein mischief (on mischief).
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން އެ ރަށްތަކުގައި ފަސާދަވެރިކަން ގިނަކުޅައޫއެވެ.

from the mischief of every sneaking whis-perer,
ފިލައިހުރެ ވަސްވާސްދޭ شيطان އާގެ ނުބައިކަމުންނެވެ. (އެބަހީ: شيطان އާގެ ނުބައިކަމުން އެކަލާނގެ حضرة ން ރައްކާތެރިކަން ލިބިގަންނަަމެވެ.)

"who make mischief in the land, and reform not."
އެއުރެންނީ ބިމުގައި ފަސާދަ އުފައްދާ، އަދި إصلاح އެއް ނުކުރާ މީހުންނެވެ.

and from the mischief of the envious one as he practises envy.
އަދި حسد ވެރިޔަކު حسد ވެރިވެއްޖެހިނދު، އޭނާގެ ނުބައިކަމުންވެސްމެއެވެ.

verily! they are the ones who make mischief, but they perceive not.
ދަންނާށެވެ! ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެއުރެންނީ، ހަމަ ފަސާދަ އުފައްދާ މީހުންނެވެ. އެހެނެއްކަމަކު، އެއުރެންނަށް އެކަން ނޭނގެނީއެވެ.

and spread mischief in the land rather than set things right."
އެއުރެންނީ ބިމުގައި ފަސާދަ އުފައްދާ، އަދި إصلاح އެއް ނުކުރާ މީހުންނެވެ.

but if they turn back, allah hath full knowledge of those who do mischief.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން، (إنكار ކޮށް) އެނބުރި ފުރަގަސްދީފިނަމަ، (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ފަހެ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، اللَّه އީ، فساد ކުރާ މީހުން މޮޅަށް ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

"who make mischief in the land, and mend not (their ways)."
އެއުރެންނީ ބިމުގައި ފަސާދަ އުފައްދާ، އަދި إصلاح އެއް ނުކުރާ މީހުންނެވެ.

and do not deliver short, and do not go about creating mischief in the land,
އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން މީސްތަކުންނަށް އެއުރެންގެ ތަކެތި އުނިނުކުރާށެވެ! އަދި فاسد ން ކަމުގައިވެތިބެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ބިމުގައި ފަސާދަނުކުރާ ހުށިކަމެވެ!

and if they turn their backs, truly allah knows those who cause mischief.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން، (إنكار ކޮށް) އެނބުރި ފުރަގަސްދީފިނަމަ، (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ފަހެ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، اللَّه އީ، فساد ކުރާ މީހުން މޮޅަށް ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

he said: "o my lord! help thou me against people who do mischief!"
އެކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. އަޅުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާކޮ! فساد ކުރާމީހުންގެ މައްޗަށް މިއަޅާއަށް نصر ދެއްވާނދޭވެ!

of a surety, they are the ones who make mischief, but they realise (it) not.
ދަންނާށެވެ! ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެއުރެންނީ، ހަމަ ފަސާދަ އުފައްދާ މީހުންނެވެ. އެހެނެއްކަމަކު، އެއުރެންނަށް އެކަން ނޭނގެނީއެވެ.

"and withhold not things justly due to men, nor do evil in the land, working mischief.
އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން މީސްތަކުންނަށް އެއުރެންގެ ތަކެތި އުނިނުކުރާށެވެ! އަދި فاسد ން ކަމުގައިވެތިބެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ބިމުގައި ފަސާދަނުކުރާ ހުށިކަމެވެ!

and do not diminish the goods of the people, and do not make mischief in the earth, working corruption.
އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން މީސްތަކުންނަށް އެއުރެންގެ ތަކެތި އުނިނުކުރާށެވެ! އަދި فاسد ން ކަމުގައިވެތިބެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ބިމުގައި ފަސާދަނުކުރާ ހުށިކަމެވެ!

(muhammad), when you recite the quran, seek refuge in god from the mischief of satan.
ފަހެ، ކަލޭގެފާނު قرآن ކިޔަވައި ވިދާޅުވާނަމަ، ފަހެ، رحمة ން ބޭރުކުރައްވާފައިވާ شيطان އާގެ ކިބައިން ދުރުކުރެއްވުންއެދި، اللَّه ގެ ރައްކާތެރިކަމަށްއެދި ދަންނަވާށެވެ!

"and defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land.
އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން މީސްތަކުންނަށް އެއުރެންގެ ތަކެތި އުނިނުކުރާށެވެ! އަދި فاسد ން ކަމުގައިވެތިބެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ބިމުގައި ފަސާދަނުކުރާ ހުށިކަމެވެ!

and when it is said to them, do not make mischief in the land, they say: we are but peace-makers.
އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ބިމުގައި ފަސާދަ އުފައްދައި ނޫޅޭށޭ، އެއުރެންނާދިމާއަށް ބުނެފިނަމަ، ތިމަންމެންނީ، ހަމަ إصلاح ކުރަންއުޅޭ ބަޔަކީމުއޭ، އެއުރެން ބުނެތެވެ.
