ރަނާއި، ޖަވާހިރުން އަތްކަން އަޅުއްވާފައިވާ ދާންތަކެއްގެ މަތީގައެވެ.

lo! we have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets;
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އަލިގަދަ ތަރިތަކުގެ ޒީނަތްތެރިކަމުން އެންމެކައިރި އުޑު ޒީނަތްތެރި ކުރެއްވީމެވެ.

we made what is upon the earth an ornament for it, to test them as to which of them is best in conduct.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ، ބިންމަތީގައިވާހާ ތަކެއްޗެއް، އެ ބިމުގެ ޒީނަތެއްކަމުގައި ލެއްވީމެވެ. (އެއީ) އެއުރެންކުރެ އެންމެ عمل ރަނގަޅީ ކާކުތޯ امتحان ކުރެއްވުމަށެވެ.

wealth and children are the ornament of this present life. but the things that last and good deeds, are better with your lord in reward and hope.
މުދަލާއި ދަރިންނަކީ ދުނިޔޭގެ ދިރިއުޅުމުގެ ޒީނަތްތެރިކަމެވެ. އަދި ދެމިހުންނަނިވި صالح عمل ތައް، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ حضرة ގައި ثواب ގެގޮތުން މާހެޔޮކަން ބޮޑެވެ. އަދި އެދޭ އެދުމެއްގެ ގޮތުން މާހެޔޮކަން ބޮޑުމެއެވެ.

lo! we have placed all that is on the earth as an ornament thereof that we may try them: which of them is best in conduct.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ، ބިންމަތީގައިވާހާ ތަކެއްޗެއް، އެ ބިމުގެ ޒީނަތެއްކަމުގައި ލެއްވީމެވެ. (އެއީ) އެއުރެންކުރެ އެންމެ عمل ރަނގަޅީ ކާކުތޯ امتحان ކުރެއްވުމަށެވެ.

and ornament of gold. and yet all that would have been but a pro vision of the life of the world; and the hereafter with thy lord is for the godfearing.
އަދި (އެތަކެއްޗަށް) ޒީނަތްތެރިކަން ލެއްވީމުހެވެ. އެހުރިހާ ތަކެއްޗަކީ، ދުނިޔޭގެ ދިރިއުޅުމުގެ ވަގުތީ އަރާމެއްކަމުގައިނޫނީ ނުވެެތެވެ. އަދި ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ حضرة ގައި تقوى ވެރިންނަށް آخرة ގެ نعمة ހުށްޓެވެ.

and (he made) horses and mules and asses that you might ride upon them and as an ornament; and he creates what you do not know.
އަދި އަހާއި، بغل އާއި، حمار ވެސް ހެއްދެވިއެވެ. އެއީ ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެ ތަކެއްޗަށް ސަވާރުވުމަށާއި، އަދި ޒީނަތެއްގެ ގޮތުގައެވެ. އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ނުދަންނަ ތަކެތި އެކަލާނގެ ހައްދަވަތެވެ.

and whatsoever ye have been given is a comfort of the life of the world and an ornament thereof; and that which allah hath is better and more lasting. have ye then no sense?
އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް ދެއްވި ކޮންމެ އެއްޗަކީ، ދުނިޔޭގެ ދިރިއުޅުމުގެ ވަގުތީ އުފަލެކެވެ. އަދި އެތާނގެ ޒީނަތްތެރިކަމެވެ. އަދި اللَّه ގެ حضرة ގައިވާ ތަކެތި ހެޔޮކަން ބޮޑުވެފައި، ދެމިހުރުން ބޮޑެވެ. ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަކަށް ނުވިސްނޭ ހެއްޔެވެ؟

'we have not failed in our tryst with thee,' they said, 'of our volition; but we were loaded with fardels, even the ornaments of the people, and we cast them, as the samaritan also threw them, into the fire.'
އެއުރެން ދެންނެވޫއެވެ. ތިމަންމެން އަމިއްލަ اختيار އަކުން ކަލޭގެފާނަށް ކުޅަ وعد އަކާ خلاف އެއް ނުވަމުއެވެ. އެހެެނެއްކަމަކު، قوم ގެމީހުންގެ ގަހަނާތަކުން ބުރަތަކެއް ތިމަންމެންނަށް އުފުލާން ޖެހުނީއެވެ. ފަހެ، ތިމަންމެން އެ ގަހަނާތައް (އަލިފާންގަނޑަށް) އުކީމުއެވެ. ހަމައެފަދައިން السّامرىّ ވެސް އުކިއެވެ.
