އެއީ ތަނބުތަކުގެ ވެރި، إرم އެވެ ކިއުނު ރަށުގެ أهل ވެރިންނެވެ.

have you not considered how your lord dealt with the possessors of the elephant?
އެތުގެ އެކުވެރިންނާމެދު (އެބަހީ: فيل ބާގައިމީހުންނާމެދު (ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ، ކަންތައް ކުރެއްވިިގޮތް ކަލޭގެފާނަށް އެނގިވަޑައި ނުގަންނަވާތޯއެވެ؟

and commemorate our servants abraham, isaac, and jacob, possessors of power and vision.
އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އަޅުން ކަމުގައިވާ إبراهيم ގެފާނާއި، إسحاق ގެފާނާއި، يعقوب ގެފާނު ހަނދުމަކުރައްވާށެވެ! (އެބޭކަލުންނީ) ހެޔޮ عمل ކުރެއްވުމަށް ބާރުގަދަ، ބުއްދީގެ أهل ވެރިންނެވެ.

rather we will certainly show you that which we have promised them; for surely we are the possessors of full power over them.
ނުވަތަ އެއުރެންނަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ وعد ކުރެއްވި ކަންތައް ކަލޭގެފާނަށް ދައްކަވާހުށީމެވެ. ފަހެ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެއީ، އެއުރެންގެމައްޗަށް ކުޅަދުންވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

they said: we are possessors of strength and possessors of mighty prowess, and the command is yours, therefore see what you will command.
އެއުރެން (އެކަމަނާއަށް) ދެންނެވޫއެވެ. ތިމަންމެންނީ، އާރާއި ބާރުހުރި ގަދަފަދަ ބަޔެކެވެ. ކަންތައް ކުރައްވާނެގޮތް އެނގިވަޑައިގަންނަވާނީ ކަމަނާއަށެވެ. ފަހެ، ކަމަނާ ކުރައްވާނެ أمر އަކާމެދު ވިސްނަވާށެވެ!

they replied: 'we are possessors of force and great might. it is for you to command, so consider what you will'
އެއުރެން (އެކަމަނާއަށް) ދެންނެވޫއެވެ. ތިމަންމެންނީ، އާރާއި ބާރުހުރި ގަދަފަދަ ބަޔެކެވެ. ކަންތައް ކުރައްވާނެގޮތް އެނގިވަޑައިގަންނަވާނީ ކަމަނާއަށެވެ. ފަހެ، ކަމަނާ ކުރައްވާނެ أمر އަކާމެދު ވިސްނަވާށެވެ!

[this is] so that the people of the scripture may know that they are not able [to obtain] anything from the bounty of allah and that [all] bounty is in the hand of allah; he gives it to whom he wills. and allah is the possessor of great bounty.
އެއީ اللَّه ގެ فضل ވަންތަކަމުގެ ތެރެއިން އެއްވެސްކަމެއްގެ މައްޗަށް އެއުރެންނަށް ކުޅަދާނަވެގެން ނުވާކަން، ފޮތުގެ أهل ވެރިން ދެނެގަތުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، فضل ވަންތަކަންވަނީ، اللَّه ގެ يدقدرة ފުޅުގައެވެ. އެކަލާނގެ އިރާދަކުރައްވާ އަޅަކަށް އެކަން ދެއްވަތެވެ. اللَّه އީ، ބޮޑުވެގެންވާ فضل ވަންތަކަމުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.
