being unthankful for what we have given them. so let them enjoy.
އެއުރެންނަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ދެއްވި نعمة އަށް، كافر ވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން (ދުނިޔޭގައި ވަގުތުކޮޅަކަށް) އަރާމު ލިބިގަންނާށެވެ! ފަހެ، ނިކަންހުރެ ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް (އޭގެ نتيجة) އެނގޭހުށްޓެވެ.

surely we guided him upon the way whether he be thankful or unthankful.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އޭނާޔަށް މަގުދެއްކެވީމެވެ. (އެއީ) އޭނާ شكر ވެރިވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. ނޫނީ އޭނާ ދެކޮޅުވެރިވެ، كافر ވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

surely we have shown him the way: he may be thankful or unthankful.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އޭނާޔަށް މަގުދެއްކެވީމެވެ. (އެއީ) އޭނާ شكر ވެރިވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. ނޫނީ އޭނާ ދެކޮޅުވެރިވެ، كافر ވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

yet they have assigned to him a part of his own servants! man is dearly unthankful.
އެއުރެން (އެބަހީ: كافر ވި މީހުން) އެކަލާނގެ އަޅުންގެތެރެއިން ބަޔެއް، އެކަލާނގެ ދަރިންކަމުގައި ހެދޫއެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން (މިކަންކުރާ) އިންސާނާާއީ، ފާޅުވެގެންހުރި كافر ކަންބޮޑު މީހެއްކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

they recognize the blessing of god, then they deny it, and the most of them are the unthankful.
އެއުރެން اللَّه ގެ نعمة ދަނެތެވެ. ދެން އެއުރެން އެއަށް إنكار ކުރެތެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންކުރެ ގިނަމީހުންނީ، كافر ންނެވެ.

yet they assign to him some of his own (created) worshipers! clearly, the human is unthankful.
އެއުރެން (އެބަހީ: كافر ވި މީހުން) އެކަލާނގެ އަޅުންގެތެރެއިން ބަޔެއް، އެކަލާނގެ ދަރިންކަމުގައި ހެދޫއެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން (މިކަންކުރާ) އިންސާނާާއީ، ފާޅުވެގެންހުރި كافر ކަންބޮޑު މީހެއްކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

surely we showed him the right path, regardless of whether he chooses to be thankful or unthankful (to his lord).
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އޭނާޔަށް މަގުދެއްކެވީމެވެ. (އެއީ) އޭނާ شكر ވެރިވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. ނޫނީ އޭނާ ދެކޮޅުވެރިވެ، كافر ވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

and gave you of all you asked him. if you count god's blessing, you will never number it; surely man is sinful, unthankful!
އަދި އެކަލާނގެ حضرة އަށް ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ދެންނެވި ކޮންމެ އެއްޗެއް އެކަލާނގެ ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް ދެއްވިއެވެ. اللَّه ގެ نعمة ތައް ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ގުނާނަމަ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަކަށް އެ نعمة ތައް عدد އެއް ނުކުރެވޭހުށްޓެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އިންސާނާއަކީ، އަނިޔާވެރިވުން ބޮޑު، شكر ކުރުން ނެތްމީހެކެވެ.

and when affliction visits you upon the sea, then there go astray those on whom you call except him; and when he delivers you to land, you turn away; man is ever unthankful.
އަދި ކަނޑުމަތީގައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް ދަތިحال ޖެހިއްޖެހިނދަކު، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެހީއަށްއެދި ގޮވާ ފަރާތްތަކުގެ ތެރެއިން، އެކަލާނގެ ފިޔަވައި އެހެންހުރިހާ ފަރާތެއް ގެއްލިދެއެވެ. ފަހެ، އެކަަލާނގެ ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ސަލާމަތްކުރައްވައި، އެއްގަމަށް ގެންނަވައިފިހިނދު (އެކަލާނގެ ފިޔަވައި) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ފުރަގަސްދީ ހިނގައިދެއެވެ. نعمة އަށް އިންކާރުކޮށް، ދެކޮޅުވެރިވާ މީހަކު ކަމުގައި އިންސާނާވިއެވެ.

if you are unthankful, god is independent of you, yet he approves not unthankfulness in his servants; but if you are thankful, he will approve it in you. and no soul laden bears the load of another.
ތިޔަބައިމީހުން كافر ވާނަމަ، ފަހެ اللَّه އީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ކިބައިންދުރުވެ، ފުދިވޮޑިގެންވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ. އަދި އެކަލާނގެ އަޅުން كافر ވުމަކަށް އެކަލާނގެ ނުރުއްސަވަތެވެ. އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން شكر ކުރާނަމަ، އެކަލާނގެ އެކަމަށް ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް ރުހިވޮޑިގެންވެއެވެ. އަދި ފާފަވެރި އެއްވެސް نفس އެއް އެހެން نفس އެއްގެ ފާފައެއް ނުއުފުލާނެތެވެ. ދެން ތިޔަބައިމީހުން رجوع ވާހުށީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ حضرة އަށެވެ. ފަހެ، އޭރުން ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ކޮށްއުޅުނު عمل ތަކުގެ خبر، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް އެކަލާނގެ އަންގަވާނެތެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެކަލާނގެއީ، ހިތްތަކުގައިވާހާ ކަންތައް މޮޅަށް ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

and assuredly we vouchsafed unto luqman wisdom, saying: give thanks unto allah; and whosoever giveth thanks giveth thanks for his soul; and whosoever is unthankful--then verily allah is self-sufficient, praiseworthy
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ لقمان ގެފާނަށް حكمة ދެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި اللَّه އަށް شكر ކުރުމަށް އެންގެވީމެވެ. އަދި شكر ކުރާމީހާ (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ފަހެ، އެމީހާ شكر ކުރާކަން ކަށަވަރީ، އޭނާގެ އަމިއްލަ نفس އަށްޓަކައެވެ. އަދި كافر ވިމީހާ (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، اللَّه އީ، ފުދިވޮޑިގެންވާ، حمد ލިބިވޮޑިގެންވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.
