and they used to persist in immense wrongdoing.
އަދި ބޮޑުވެގެންވާ ފާފަވެރިކަމުގެ މަތީގައި ދެމިތިބޭ ބަޔަކުކަމުގައި އެއުރެންވޫއެވެ.

my lord! then set me not among the wrongdoing folk.
ކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވާށެވެ! އަޅުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާކޮ! އެއުރެންނަށް وعد ކުރައްވާ ކަންތައް، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އިބަރަސްކަލާނގެ ތިމަންއަޅާޔަށް ދެއްކެވިޔަސް، އަޅުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާކޮ! ފަހެ، އަނިޔާވެރިވީ މީހުންގެ ތެރޭގައި ތިމަންއަޅާ ނުލައްވާނދޭވެ!

our lord! oh, make us not a lure for the wrongdoing folk;
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން ދެންނެވޫއެވެ. اللَّه އަށް އަޅަމެން وكيل ކޮށްފީމެވެ. އަޅަމެންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާކޯއެވެ! އަނިޔާވެރިވީ މީހުންނަށް ފިތުނައެއްކަމުގައި (އެބަހީ: އެއުރެންގެ އަނިޔާވެރިކަމުގެ ދަށުގައި) އަޅަމެން ނުލައްވާނދޭވެ!

my lord, then do not place me among the wrongdoing people."
ކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވާށެވެ! އަޅުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާކޮ! އެއުރެންނަށް وعد ކުރައްވާ ކަންތައް، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އިބަރަސްކަލާނގެ ތިމަންއަޅާޔަށް ދެއްކެވިޔަސް، އަޅުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާކޮ! ފަހެ، އަނިޔާވެރިވީ މީހުންގެ ތެރޭގައި ތިމަންއަޅާ ނުލައްވާނދޭވެ!

and when thy lord called moses, saying: go unto the wrongdoing folk,
ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ موسى ގެފާނަށް ނިދާ އިއްވެވިހިނދު ހަނދުމަކުރައްވާށެވެ! އަނިޔާވެރި قوم ގެމީހުންގެ ގާތަށް ކަލޭގެފާނު (رسول ކަމާއިގެން) ވަޑައިގަންނަވާށެވެ!

when your lord called out to moses, saying, "go to the wrongdoing people,
ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ موسى ގެފާނަށް ނިދާ އިއްވެވިހިނދު ހަނދުމަކުރައްވާށެވެ! އަނިޔާވެރި قوم ގެމީހުންގެ ގާތަށް ކަލޭގެފާނު (رسول ކަމާއިގެން) ވަޑައިގަންނަވާށެވެ!

they did not forbid one another from the wrongdoing they were committing. evil is what they were doing.
އެއުރެންކުޅަ ނުބައިކަންތައް، އެއްބަޔަކު އަނެއްބަޔަކަށް ނަހީކޮށެއް ނުއުޅެތެވެ. އެއުރެން ކޮށްއުޅުނު ކަންތަކުގެ ނުބައިކަމާއެވެ!

but whoso repenteth after his wrongdoing and amendeth, lo! allah will relent toward him.
ފަހެ، އަނިޔާވެރިވުމަށްފަހު، (އެބަހީ: ވައްކަންކުރުމަށްފަހު) توبة ވެ (އޭނާގެ عمل) إصلاح ކޮށްފިމީހާ (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ފަހެ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، اللَّه އެމީހާގެ މައްޗަށް توبة ލައްވާނެތެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، اللَّه އީ، ގިނަގިނައިން ފާފަފުއްސަވާ رحيم ވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

how many a town we have smashed that had been wrongdoing, and we brought forth another people after it.
އަނިޔާވެރިވި ކިތައްކިތައް ރަށުގެ أهل ވެރިން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަލާކު ކުރެއްވިން ހެއްޔެވެ؟ އަދި އެއުރެންގެ ފަހުން އެހެންބަޔަކު ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އުފެއްދެވީމެވެ.

and the word [of judgement] shall fall upon them for their wrongdoing, and they will not speak.
އަދި އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް ކަނޑައަޅުއްވާފައިވާ عذاب އައިސް ޖެހިއްޖެއެވެ. އެއީ އެއުރެން އަނިޔާވެރިވީ ކަމަށްޓަކައެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެންނަކަށް (އެދުވަހުން) އެއްވެސް ވާހަކައެއް ނުދެއްކޭނެތެވެ.

and that persons from among men used to seek refuge with persons from among jinn, so they increased them in wrongdoing:
އަދި އިންސީންގެ ތެރެއިން ފިރިހެންބަޔަކު، ޖިންނީންގެ ތެރެއިން ފިރިހެންބަޔެއްގެ ކިބައިން ރައްކާތެރިކަމަށް އެދޭކަމުގައިވޫއެވެ. ފަހެ (އެކަމުގެ ސަބަބުން) އެއުރެންނަށް (އެބަހީ: ޖިންނީންނަށް) އެއުރެން (އެބަހީ: އިންސީން) كافر ކަމާއި ބޮޑާކަން އިތުރުކުރޫއެވެ.

a messenger from among them had come to them, but they denounced him, so the punishment seized them in the midst of their wrongdoing.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެއުރެންގެތެރެއިން، رسول އަކު، އެއުރެންގެ ގާތަށް ވަޑައިގަތެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެން އެ رسول އާ ދޮގުކުޅައޫވެ. ދެން އެއުރެން އަނިޔާވެރިންކަމުގައިވާ حال، އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް عذاب އައެވެ.

and who is more unjust than one who invents about allah untruth while he is being invited to islam. and allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.
އެމީހަކަށް إسلام دين އަށް ގޮވައިލައްވާ حال، اللَّه އާމެދު ހަދައިގެން ދޮގުބުނި މީހަކަށްވުރެން އަނިޔާވެރިކަންބޮޑީ ކާކުހެއްޔެވެ؟ އަނިޔާވެރި ބަޔަކަށް اللَّه ތެދުމަގެއް ނުދައްކަވަތެވެ.

and do not follow the other paths, lest they divert you from his path. all this he has enjoined upon you, that you may refrain from wrongdoing.
އަދި މިއީ ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ސީދާވެގެންވާ ތެދުމަގެވެ. ފަހެ، އެ މަގަށް ތިޔަބައިމީހުން تبع ވާށެވެ! (އެނޫން) މަގުމަގަށް ތިޔަބައިމީހުން تبع ނުވާށެވެ! (އޭރުން) އެކަލާނގެ މަގުން ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ވަކިވަކިވެގެން ހިނގައިދާނެތެވެ. މިކަންތައްތަކަށް، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް އެކަލާނގެ وصية ކުރެއްވީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން تقوى ވެރިވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

and who is a greater wrongdoer than he who attributes falsehoods to god, when he is being invited to islam? god does not guide the wrongdoing people.
އެމީހަކަށް إسلام دين އަށް ގޮވައިލައްވާ حال، اللَّه އާމެދު ހަދައިގެން ދޮގުބުނި މީހަކަށްވުރެން އަނިޔާވެރިކަންބޮޑީ ކާކުހެއްޔެވެ؟ އަނިޔާވެރި ބަޔަކަށް اللَّه ތެދުމަގެއް ނުދައްކަވަތެވެ.

and [mention] when your lord called moses, [saying], "go to the wrongdoing people -
ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ موسى ގެފާނަށް ނިދާ އިއްވެވިހިނދު ހަނދުމަކުރައްވާށެވެ! އަނިޔާވެރި قوم ގެމީހުންގެ ގާތަށް ކަލޭގެފާނު (رسول ކަމާއިގެން) ވަޑައިގަންނަވާށެވެ!

and when their eyes are turned toward the companions of the fire, they say, "our lord, do not place us with the wrongdoing people."
އަދި އެއުރެންގެ ލޯތައް ނަރަކައިގެ أهل ވެރިންނާ ދިމާއަށް އަނބުރައިލާހިނދު، އެއުރެން ބުނާނެތެވެ. އަޅަމެންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާކޯއެވެ! އަނިޔާވެރިވީ މީހުންނާ އެކުގައި އަޅަމެން ނުލައްވާނދޭވެ!

all faces shall be humbled before the living one, the all-sustainer, and those who bear [the burden of] wrongdoing will fail.
ދިރިދެމިވޮޑިގެންވާ، دائم އަށް قائم ވެވޮޑިގެންވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެއަށްޓަކައި، މޫނުތައް ދެރަވެ ނިކަމެތިވެއްޖެއެވެ. އަދި (شرك ގެ) އަނިޔާވެރިކަން އުފުލައިގެން އަންނަމީހާ، ނާކާމިޔާބުވެއްޖެކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

and whoever is an ally to them among you - then indeed, he is [one] of them. indeed, allah guides not the wrongdoing people.
އޭ إيمان ވެއްޖެ މީސްތަކުންނޭވެ! ތިޔަބައިމީހުން يهودى ންނާއި، نصارى އިން (އެއީ) އެކުވެރިން ކަމުގައި ނުބަލާށެވެ! އެއުރެންގެ ތެރެއިން އެއްބަޔަކީ އަނެއްބަޔެއްގެ އެކުވެރިންނެވެ. ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން އެއުރެން އެކުވެރިން ކަމުގައި ބަލައިފިމީހާ (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ފަހެ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެއީ، އެއުރެންގެ ތެރެއިންވާ މީހެކެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އަނިޔާވެރި ބަޔަކަށް اللَّه ތެދުމަގެއް ނުދައްކަވާނެތެވެ.

(their lord) said: for this the land will surely be forbidden them for forty years that they will wander in the earth, bewildered. so grieve not over the wrongdoing folk.
އެކަލާނގެ وحى ކުރެއްވިއެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެކަން (އެބަހީ: مقدّس ވެގެންވާ ރަށުގެ ބިމަށް ވަނުން) އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް حرام ކުރައްވާފައިވެއެވެ. ސާޅީސް އަހަރުވާންދެނެވެ. ދެވޭނުދެވޭ ތަނެއް ނޭނގި ބިމުގައި ބެހިގެން އެއުރެން އުޅުމަށެވެ. ފަހެ، فاسق ވި قوم ގެމީހުންގެ މައްޗަށް ކަލޭގެފާނު ހިތާމަ ނުކުރައްވާށެވެ!
