masa persembahan dah nak habis. ia menunjukkan kepada penonton bagaimana watak atau peristiwa itu telah berubah apabila bertahun-tahun berlalu. menayangkannya dalam masa yang singkat supaya penonton tidak bosan dan terus bertunang dengan filem ini. juga, teknik ini boleh digunakan apabila menunjukkan kemusykilan tentang peristiwa sebelumnya atau ingatan sebelumnya tentang watak. ini digunakan untuk menunjukkan kepada penonton imej dalaman dalam minda watak-watak.
