اس لئے کہ وہ قطعًا حسابِ (آخرت) کا خوف نہیں رکھتے تھے،

اور انشاء الله نہ کہا

they did not expect such a judgment
اس لئے کہ وہ قطعًا حسابِ (آخرت) کا خوف نہیں رکھتے تھے،

indeed they did not expect any reckoning,
اس لئے کہ وہ قطعًا حسابِ (آخرت) کا خوف نہیں رکھتے تھے،

no messenger went to them whom they did not mock.
اور (لیکن) جو بھی رسول آتا وه اس کا مذاق اڑاتے

and they did not say, “if allah wills”.
اور انشاء الله نہ کہا

but never did a prophet come at whom they did not scoff.
اور ان میں سے کسی کے پاس کوئی نبی نہیں آیا مگر یہ کہ ان لوگوں نے ان کا مذاق اڑایا

what is the matter with you that you do not want the greatness of allah,
آخر تمہیں کیا ہوگیا ہے کہ تم خدا کی عظمت کا خیال نہیں کرتے ہو

they planned a plan, and we planned a plan, but they did not notice.
انہوں نے مکر (خفیہ تدبیر) کیا اور ہم نے بھی اور وه اسے سمجھتے ہی نہ تھے

others will respond, "it was you who did not want to have any faith.
(انہیں گمراہ کرنے والے پیشوا) کہیں گے: بلکہ تم خود ہی ایمان لانے والے نہ تھے،
