Ё парҳезгоронро чун гуноҳкорон?

ва мегуфтанд: «Оё ба хотири шоири девонае худоёнамонро тарк гӯем?»

Ва гуфтанд: «Ғайри ин зиндагии дунявии мо ҳеҷ нест ва мо дигар бор зинда нахоҳем шуд».

Эй касоне, ки имон овардаед, аз Худо битарсед ва бо ростгӯён бошед!

and they used to say, "when we die and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?
ва мегуфтанд: «Оё замоне, ки мо мурдему хоку устухон шудем, боз ҳам моро зинда мекунанд

are we to prostrate to whatever thou (muhammad) biddest us?
Оё бар ҳар кас, ки ту фармон медиҳӣ, саҷда кунем?»

and we determined [it], and excellent [are we] to determine.
Пас Мо тавоно будем ва нек тавоно будем!

did you create it, or are we the creator?
Оё шумо ӯро меофаринед ё Мо офаринандаем?

and said: 'are we to renounce our gods for the sake of a mad poet'
ва мегуфтанд: «Оё ба хотири шоири девонае худоёнамонро тарк гӯем?»

do you give it its increase, or are we the giver?
Оё шумо мерӯёнедаш ё Мо рӯёнандаем?
