அவர்கள் பிறருக்குக் காண்பிக்(கவே தான் தொழு)கிறார்கள்.

woe, then, to those who pray,
இன்னும், (கவனமற்ற) தொழுகையாளிகளுக்குக் கேடுதான்.

delicious to those who drink it
(அது) மிக்க வெண்மையானது அருந்துவோருக்கு மதுரமானது.

woe to those who give short measure,
அளவு (எடையில்) மோசம் செய்பவர்களுக்கு கேடுதான்.

white, delicious to those who drink.
(அது) மிக்க வெண்மையானது அருந்துவோருக்கு மதுரமானது.

white; a delight to those who drink.
(அது) மிக்க வெண்மையானது அருந்துவோருக்கு மதுரமானது.

a guidance and a mercy to those who do good,
(இது) நன்மை செய்வோருக்கு நேர் வழி காட்டியாகவும் ரஹ்மத்தாகவும் இருக்கிறது.

they said, "have you come to us with truth, or are you of those who jest?"
(அதற்கு) அவர்கள் "நீர் எங்களிடம் உண்மையைக் கொண்டு வந்திருக்கிறீரா? அல்லது விளையாடுபவர்களில் ஒருவராக இருக்கின்றீரா?" என்று கேட்டார்கள்.

say: wait, for surely i too with you am of those who wait.
"நீங்களும் வழி பார்த்திருங்கள் - நிச்சயமாக நானும் உங்களுடன் வழி பார்க்கிறேன்" என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறும்.

and surely allah shall come to know those who believe, and surely he shall come to know the hypocrites.
அன்றியும், நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களை நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நன்கறிவான்; நயவஞ்சகர்களையும், அவன் நிச்சயமாக நன்கறிவான்.

your lord knows very well what is in your hearts. if you are good, he is forgiving to those who are penitent.
(பெற்றோரை நடத்துவது பற்றி) உங்களுடைய உள்ளங்களிலிருப்பதை உங்களுடைய இறைவனே நன்கு அறிவான்; நீங்கள் ஸாலிஹானவர்களாக (இறைவன் ஏவலுக்கு இசைந்து நடப்பவர்களாக) இருந்தால்; (உள்ளந்திருந்தி உங்களில் எவர் மன்னிப்புக் கோருகிறாறோ அத்தகைய) மன்னிப்புக் கோருபவர்களுக்கு (அல்லாஹ்) மிக மன்னிப்பவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

all those who are in the heavens and the earth will come to the most gracious as his bondmen.
ஏனென்றால் வானங்களிலும், பூமியிலும் உள்ள ஒவ்வொருவரும் அர்ரஹ்மானிடம் அடிமையாய் வருபவரேயன்றி வேறில்லை.

those who set up another god with god. they will come to know.
இவர்கள் எத்தகையோர் என்றால் அல்லாஹ்வுடன் வேறு தெய்வத்தையும் (இணை) ஆக்கிக் கொள்கிறார்கள்; (இதன் பலனை இவர்கள்) பின்னர் அறிந்து கொள்வார்கள்.

god has made a promise of forgiveness and the highest reward to those who believe and perform good deeds.
ஈமான் கொண்டு. நல்ல அமல்கள் செய்வோருக்கு, மன்னிப்பையும், மகத்தான (நற்)கூலியையும் அல்லாஹ் வாக்களித்துள்ளான்.

say to those who do not believe, you do things in your way and we are doing things in our way,
நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளாதவர்களிடம் (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக் "நீங்கள் உங்கள் போக்கில் நடந்து கொள்ளுங்கள். நிச்சயமாக நாங்களும் (எங்கள் போக்கில்) செயல்படுகிறோம்."

believers! do not hold as unlawful the good things which allah has made lawful to you, and do not exceed the bounds of right. allah does not love those who transgress the bounds of right.
முஃமின்களே! அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கு ஹலாலாக்கி (ஆகுமாக்கி)யுள்ள, பரிசுத்தமான பொருட்களை ஹராமானவையாக (விலக்கப்பட்டவையாக) ஆக்கிக் கொள்ளாதீர்கள்;. இன்னும் வரம்பு மீறியும் செல்லாதீர்கள்;. நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் வரம்பு மீறுபவர்களை நேசிப்பதில்லை.

"and keep your duty to him, fear him who has aided you with all (good things) that you know.
"அவன் உங்களுக்கு (ஆடு, மாடு, ஒட்டகை போன்ற) கால்நடைகளையும், பிள்ளைகளையும் கொண்டு உதவியளித்தான்.
