and makes men go through trials in order that he might purge the believers and blot out those who deny the truth.

for those who do good there is goodness and more, and no blot or disgrace will cover their faces. they are people of paradise, where they will abide for ever.
நன்மை புரிந்தோருக்கு (உரிய கூலி) நன்மையும், மேலும் அதைவிட அதிகமும் கிடைக்கும்; அவர்களின் முகங்களை இருளோ, இழிவோ சூழ்ந்து இருக்காது, அவர்கள் தாம் சவனபதிக்கு உரியவர்கள் - அதிலேயே அவர்கள் என்றென்றும் தங்கியிருப்பார்கள்.

"our lord! we have heard the call of one calling (us) to faith, 'believe ye in the lord,' and we have believed. our lord! forgive us our sins, blot out from us our iniquities, and take to thyself our souls in the company of the righteous.
"எங்கள் இறைவனே! உங்கள் இறைவன் மீது நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளுங்கள் என்று ஈமானின் பக்கம் அழைத்தவரின் அழைப்பைச் செவிமடுத்து நாங்கள் திடமாக ஈமான் கொண்டோம்; "எங்கள் இறைவனே! எங்களுக்கு, எங்கள் பாவங்களை மன்னிப்பாயாக! எங்கள் தீமைகளை எங்களை விட்டும் அகற்றி விடுவாயாக! இன்னும், எங்க(ளுடைய ஆன்மாக்க)ளைச் சான்றோர்களு(டைய ஆன்மாக்களு)டன் கைப்பற்றுவாயாக!" (என்றும்;).
