surely this is a reminder, so whoever pleases takes to his lord a way.
நிச்சயமாக இது ஒரு நல்லுபதேசமாகும்; எனவே யார் விரும்புகிறாரோ அவர் தம்முடைய இறைவன் பால் (செல்லும்) வழியைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்துக் கொள்வாராக.

indeed, this is a reminder, so he who wills may take to his lord a way.
நிச்சயமாக இது ஒரு நல்லுபதேசமாகும்; எனவே யார் விரும்புகிறாரோ அவர் தம்முடைய இறைவன் பால் (செல்லும்) வழியைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்துக் கொள்வாராக.

lo! this is a reminder. let him who will, then, choose a way unto his lord.
நிச்சயமாக இது நினைவூட்டும் நல்லுபபதேசமாகும் ஆகவே எவர் விரும்புகிறாரோ அவர் தம்முடைய இறைவனிடம் (செல்லும் இவ்)வழியை எடுத்துக் கொள்வாராக.

and do not marry women your fathers married unless it is a thing of the past surely that was an indecency, hated, and a way of evil.
முன்னால் நடந்து போனதைத் தவிர, (இனிமேல்) நீங்கள் உங்களுடைய தந்தையர் மணமுடித்துக் கொண்ட பெண்களிலிருந்து எவரையும் விவாகம் செய்து கொள்ளாதீர்கள் - நிச்சயமாக இது மானக்கேடானதும், வெறுக்கக்கூடியதும், தீமையான வழியுமாகும்.

verily allah is my lord and your lord: him therefore serve ye: this is a way that is straight.
"நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வே (படைத்துப் பரிபக்குவப்படுத்தும்) என்னுடைய இறைவனாகவும், உங்களுடைய இறைவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்; ஆகையால், அவனையே நீங்கள் வணங்குங்கள்; இதுவே நேரான வழியாகும்" (என்று நபியே! நீர் கூறும்).

and the culprits will behold the fire and imagine that they are about to fall therein, and they shall not find therefrom a way of escape.
இன்னும், குற்றவாளிகள்; (நரக) நெருப்பைப் பார்ப்பார்கள்; தாங்கள் அதில் விழப்போகிறவர்களே என்பதைத் தெரிந்து கொள்வார்கள்; அதிலிருந்து தப்ப மாற்றிடம் எதையும் காண மாட்டார்கள்.

"'it is allah who is my lord and your lord; then worship him. this is a way that is straight.'"
"நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வே என்னுடைய இறைவனும், உங்களுடைய இறைவனும் ஆவான். ஆகவே அவனையே வணங்குங்கள். இதுவே (ஸிராத்துல் முஸ்தகீம் என்னும்) நேரான விழியாகும்."

we have determined for each community a way of worship which they follow. so they should not contend with you in this matter; and you should go on calling them to your lord. you are surely on the right path.
(நபியே!) ஒவ்வொரு கூட்டத்தாருக்கும் வணக்க வழிபாட்டு முறையை ஏற்படுத்தினோம்; அதனை அவர்கள் பின்பற்றினர்; எனவே இக்காரியத்தில் அவர்கள் திடனாக உம்மிடம் பிணங்க வேண்டாம்; இன்னும்; நீர் (அவர்களை) உம்முடைய இறைவன் பக்கம் அழைப்பீராக! நிச்சயமாக நீர் நேர்வழியில் இருக்கின்றீர்.

(allah) said: "this (way of my sincere servants) is indeed a way that leads straight to me.
(அதற்கு இறைவன் "அந்தரங்க சுத்தியுள்ள என் நல்லடியார்களின்) இந்த வழி, என்னிடம் (வருவதற்குரிய) நேரான வழியாகும்.

among them is a section which distorts in reading the scripture in a way that though it sounds like the scripture, in fact it is not; yet they say it is from god, when they know it is not; and they lie about god, and knowingly.
நிச்சயமாக அவர்களில் ஒரு பிரிவார் இருக்கின்றார்கள் - அவர்கள் வேதத்தை ஓதும்போதுத் தங்கள் நாவுகளைச் சாய்த்து ஓதுகிறார்கள் - (அதனால் உண்டாகும் மாற்றங்களையும்) வேதத்தின் ஒரு பகுதிதானென்று நீங்கள் எண்ணிக் கொள்வதற்காக. ஆனால் அது வேதத்தில் உள்ளதல்ல "அது அல்லாஹ்விடம் இருந்து (வந்தது)" என்றும் அவர்கள் கூறுகிறார்கள்; ஆனால் அது அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து (வந்ததும்) அல்ல. இன்னும் அறிந்து கொண்டே அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது பொய் கூறுகின்றார்கள்.

call to the way of your lord with wisdom and fair exhortation and reason with them in a way that is best. your lord knows best those who have strayed away from his path, and he knows best those who are rightly guided.
(நபியே!) உம் இறைவனின் பாதையில் (மக்களை) விவேகத்துடனும், அழகிய உபதேசத்தைக் கொண்டும் நீர் அழைப்பீராக! இன்னும், அவர்களிடத்தில் மிக அழகான முறையில் தர்க்கிப்பீராக! மெய்யாக உம் இறைவன், அவன் வழியைவிட்டுத் தவறியவர்களையும் (அவன் வழியைச் சார்ந்து) நேர்வழி பெற்றவர்களையும் நன்கு அறிவான்.

alif. lam. ra'. this is a book which we have revealed to you that you may bring forth mankind from every kind of darkness into light, and direct them, with the leave of their lord, to the way of the mighty, the innately praiseworthy,
அலிஃப், லாம், றா. (நபியே! இது) வேதமாகும்; மனிதர்களை அவர்களுடைய இறைவனின் அனுமதியைக் கொண்டு இருள்களிலிருந்து வெளியேற்றிப் பிரகாசத்தின் பால் நீர் கொண்டுவருவதற்காக இ(வ் வேதத்)தை நாமே உம்மீது இறக்கியிருக்கின்றோம்; புகழுக்குரியவனும், வல்லமை மிக்கோனுமாகிய (அல்லாஹ்வின்) பாதையில் (அவர்களை நீர் கொண்டுவருவீராக!).
