உங்களுக்கும் (இதர) பிரயாணிகளுக்கும் பலன் கிடைக்கும் பொருட்டு (நீங்கள் இஹ்ராம் கட்டியிருந்தாலும்) கடலில் வேட்டையாடுவதும், அதைப் புசிப்பதும் உங்களுக்கு ஹலாலாக - ஆகுமானதாக ஆக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஆனால் நீங்கள் இஹ்ராம் கட்டியிருக்கும் காலமெல்லம் தரையில் வேட்டையாடுவது உங்கள் மீது ஹராமாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. எனவே நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அஞ்சி நடந்து கொள்ளுங்கள், அவனிடத்திலேயே நீங்கள் ஒன்று சேர்க்கப்படுவீர்கள்.

o believers, fulfil your bonds. permitted to you is the beast of the flocks, except that which is now recited to you, so that you deem not game permitted to be hunted when you are in pilgrim sanctity. god decrees whatsoever he desires.
முஃமின்களே! (நீங்கள் செய்து கொண்ட) உடன்படிக்கைகளை (முழுமையாக) நிறைவேற்றுங்கள்;. உங்கள் மீது ஓதிக்காட்டி இருப்பவற்றைத் தவிர மற்றைய நாற்கால் பிராணிகள் உங்களுக்கு(உணவிற்காக)ஆகுமாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. ஆனால் நீங்கள் இஹ்ராம் அணிந்திருக்கும் சமயத்தில் (அவற்றை) வேட்டையாடுவது (உங்களுக்குத்) தடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தான் நாடியதைக் கட்டளையிடுகிறான்.

o believers, do not kill the hunted while you are in pilgrim sanctity. whosoever of you kills it willfully there shall be a recompense, the like of what he has slain from cattle as shall be judged by two just men among you, an offering to reach the ka'bah; or expiation food for needy persons or the equivalent of that in fasting, so that he may taste the weight of the recompense of his action. allah has pardoned what is past; but whoever offends again, allah will take vengeance on him. allah is the almighty, owner of vengeance.
ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களே! நீங்கள் இஹ்ராம் உடை உடுத்தியவர்களாக இருக்கும் நிலையில் வேட்டை(யாடி)ப் பிராணிகளைக் கொல்லாதீர்கள்;. உங்களில் யாராவது ஒருவர் வேண்டுமென்றே அதைக் கொன்றால், (ஆடு, மாடு, ஒட்டகை போன்ற) கால்நடைகளிலிருந்து அவர் கொன்றதற்கு சமமான ஒன்றை(ப் பரிகாரமாக) ஈடாகக் கொடுக்க வேண்டியது. அதற்கு உங்களில் நீதமுடைய இருவர் தீர்ப்பளிக்க வேண்டும். அது கஃபாவை அடைய வேண்டிய குர்பானியாகும். அல்லது பரிகாரமாக ஏழைகளுக்கு உணவளிக்க வேண்டும், அல்லது (பரிகாரமளிக்க ஏதும் இல்லையாயின்) தனதுவினையின் பலனை அனுபவிப்பதற்காக அதற்குச் சமமான நோன்புகள் நோற்பது (அதற்கு ஈடாகும்;). முன்னால் நடந்ததை அல்லாஹ் மன்னித்து விட்டான், எவர் மீண்டும் (இதைச்) செய்வாரோ அல்லாஹ் அவரை வேதனை செய்வான், அல்லாஹ் (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவனாகவும், (குற்றம் செய்வோருக்குத் தக்க) தண்டனை கொடுக்க உரியோனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.
