he said: in a little while they surely will become repentant.
"சிறிது காலத்தில் அவர்கள் நிச்சயமாகக் கைசேதப்பட்டவர்களாகி விடுவார்கள்" என்று கூறினார்.

he said, 'in a little they will be remorseful.'
"சிறிது காலத்தில் அவர்கள் நிச்சயமாகக் கைசேதப்பட்டவர்களாகி விடுவார்கள்" என்று கூறினார்.

(allah) said: "in a little while, they are sure to be regretful."
"சிறிது காலத்தில் அவர்கள் நிச்சயமாகக் கைசேதப்பட்டவர்களாகி விடுவார்கள்" என்று கூறினார்.

so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while.
எனவே, காஃபிர்களுக்கு நீர் அவகாசமளிப்பீராக, சொற்பமாக அவகாசம் அளிப்பீராக.

leave the prosperous disbelievers to me and give them respite for a little while;
என்னையும், பொய்ப்பிப்வர்களாகிய அந்தச் சுக வாசிகளையும் விட்டுவிடும்; அவர்களுக்குச் சிறிது அவகாசமும் கொடுப்பீராக.

eat [your fill] and enjoy your life for a little while, o you who are lost in sin.
(பொய்யாக்குவோரே உலகில்) இன்னும் கொஞ்ச (கால)ம் நீங்கள் புசித்துக் கொண்டும், சுகித்துக்கொண்டும் இருங்கள் - நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் குற்றவாளிகளே.

(disbelievers), eat and enjoy yourselves for a little while. you are certainly sinful ones.
(பொய்யாக்குவோரே உலகில்) இன்னும் கொஞ்ச (கால)ம் நீங்கள் புசித்துக் கொண்டும், சுகித்துக்கொண்டும் இருங்கள் - நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் குற்றவாளிகளே.

a day when he will call you and ye will answer with his praise, and ye will think that ye have tarried but a little while.
உங்களை (இறுதியில்) அவன் அழைக்கும் நாளில், நீங்கள் அவன் புகழை ஓதியவர்களாக பதில் கூறுவீர்கள்; (மரணத்திற்குப் பின்) சொற்ப(கால)மே தங்கியிருந்ததாக நீங்கள் நினைப்பீர்கள்.

on that day he will call you, and you will answer by praising him, thinking that you have stayed for only a little while."
உங்களை (இறுதியில்) அவன் அழைக்கும் நாளில், நீங்கள் அவன் புகழை ஓதியவர்களாக பதில் கூறுவீர்கள்; (மரணத்திற்குப் பின்) சொற்ப(கால)மே தங்கியிருந்ததாக நீங்கள் நினைப்பீர்கள்.

(o ye unjust!) eat ye and enjoy yourselves (but) a little while, for that ye are sinners.
(பொய்யாக்குவோரே உலகில்) இன்னும் கொஞ்ச (கால)ம் நீங்கள் புசித்துக் கொண்டும், சுகித்துக்கொண்டும் இருங்கள் - நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் குற்றவாளிகளே.

and if an entry were made upon them from the outlying parts of it, then they were asked to wage war, they would certainly have done it, and they would not have stayed in it but a little while.
அதன் பல பாகங்களிலிருந்தும் அவர்கள் மீது படைகள் புகுத்தப்பட்டு, குழப்பம் செய்யும்படி அவர்களிடம் கேட்கப் பட்டிருக்குமானால், நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் (அதை ஏற்று அவ்வாறே) செய்து இருப்பார்கள்; அதை (குழப்பத்தை) சிறிது நேரமே தவிர தாமதப் படுத்த மாட்டார்கள்.

if the hypocrites, and those in whose hearts is a disease, and the alarmists in the city do not cease, we verily shall urge thee on against them, then they will be your neighbours in it but a little while.
முனாஃபிக்குகளும், தங்கள் இதயங்களில் நோய் உள்ளவர்களும், மதீனாவில் பொய்ப்பிரச்சாரம் செய்து கொண்டிருப்பவர்களும் (தம் தீச்செயல்களிலிருந்து) விலகிக் கொள்ளவில்லையானால், அவர்களுக்கு எதிராக (நடவடிக்கைகள் எடுப்பதை) உம்மிடம் நிச்சயமாக சாட்டுவோம். பிறகு அவர்கள் வெகு சொற்ப(கால)மேயன்றி அங்கு உமது அண்டை அயலார்களாக (வசித்திருக்க) மாட்டார்கள்.

and verily they had well-nigh unsettled thee from the land that they might drive thee forth from thence. and in that case they would not have tarried after thee but a little while.
(நபியே!) உம்மை (உம்முடைய) பூமியிலிருந்து அடி பெயரச்செய்து, அதை விட்டும் உம்மை வெளியேற்றிவிட முனைகிறார்கள்; ஆனால் அவர்களோ உமக்குப்பின்னர் சொற்ப நாட்களேயன்றி (அங்கு) தங்கியிருக்க மாட்டார்கள்.

on the day when he will call you forth, then shall you obey him, giving him praise, and you will think that you tarried but a little (while).
உங்களை (இறுதியில்) அவன் அழைக்கும் நாளில், நீங்கள் அவன் புகழை ஓதியவர்களாக பதில் கூறுவீர்கள்; (மரணத்திற்குப் பின்) சொற்ப(கால)மே தங்கியிருந்ததாக நீங்கள் நினைப்பீர்கள்.

and leave me alone to deal with the beliers (those who deny my verses, etc.), and those who are in possession of good things of life. and give them respite for a little while.
என்னையும், பொய்ப்பிப்வர்களாகிய அந்தச் சுக வாசிகளையும் விட்டுவிடும்; அவர்களுக்குச் சிறிது அவகாசமும் கொடுப்பீராக.

and leave me (alone to deal with) those in possession of the good things of life, who (yet) deny the truth; and bear with them for a little while.
என்னையும், பொய்ப்பிப்வர்களாகிய அந்தச் சுக வாசிகளையும் விட்டுவிடும்; அவர்களுக்குச் சிறிது அவகாசமும் கொடுப்பீராக.

and spend from what we have provided you before death approaches any one of you and he then says, “my lord! why did you not give me respite for a little while, so i would have given charity and become of the virtuous?”
உங்களில் ஒருவருக்கு மரணம் வருமுன்னரே, நாம் உங்களுக்கு அளித்த பொருளிலிருந்து, தான தர்மம் செய்து கொள்ளுங்கள், (அவ்வாறு செய்யாது மரணிக்கும் சமயம்); "என் இறைவனே! என் தவணையை எனக்கு சிறிது பிற்படுத்தக் கூடாதா? அப்படியாயின் நானும் தான தர்மம் செய்து ஸாலிஹான (நல்ல)வர்களில் ஒருவனாக ஆகிவிடுவேனே" என்று கூறுவான்.
