(நபியே!) நீர் கூறும்: உங்களின் தண்ணீர் பூமியினுள் (உறிஞ்சப்பட்டுப்) போய்விட்டால், அப்பொழுது ஓடும் நீரை உங்களுக்குக் கொண்டு வருபவன் யார்? என்பதை கவனித்தீர்களா? என்று (எனக்கு அறிவியுங்கள்).

when he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'stay here, for i can see a fire. perhaps i can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance'
அவர் நெருப்பைக் கண்டு தம் குடும்பத்தாரிடம் "நீங்கள் (இங்கு சிறிது) தங்குங்கள்; நிச்சயமாக நான் நெருப்பைக் கண்டேன்; ஒரு வேளை அதிலிருந்து உங்களுக்கு ஓர் எரி கொள்ளியைக் கொண்டு வரவோ, அல்லது நாம் செல்ல வேண்டிய பாதையை அந் நெருப்பி(ன் உதவியி)னால் கண்டு பிடிக்கவோ செய்யலாம்" என்று (கூறினார்).

say, ‘tell me, if allah were to make the night perpetual for you until the day of resurrection, what god other than allah can bring you light? will you not listen?’
(நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக "கியாமநாள் வரை அல்லாஹ் உங்கள் மீது இரவை நிரந்தரமாக இருக்கும்படிச் செய்து விட்டால், உங்களுக்கு(ப் பகலின்) வெளிச்சத்தைக் கொண்டுவரக் கூடியவன் அல்லாஹ்வை அன்றி நாயன் உண்டா என்பதை நீங்கள் (சிந்தித்துப்) பார்த்தீர்களா? (இவ்வுண்மையை) நீங்கள் செவியேற்க வேண்டாமா?

"கியாமநாள் வரை உங்கள் மீது அல்லாஹ் பகலை நிரந்தரமாக இருக்கும்படிச் செய்து விட்டால், நீங்கள் அதில் ஓய்வு பெறும் பொருட்டு உங்களுக்கு இரவைக் கொண்டு வரக்கூடியவன் அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி நாயன் உண்டா என்பதை நீங்கள் (சிந்தித்துப்) பார்த்தீர்களா? (இவ்வுண்மையை) நீங்கள் நோக்க வேண்டாமா?" என்று கூறுவீராக!

அவர் நெருப்பைக் கண்டு தம் குடும்பத்தாரிடம் "நீங்கள் (இங்கு சிறிது) தங்குங்கள்; நிச்சயமாக நான் நெருப்பைக் கண்டேன்; ஒரு வேளை அதிலிருந்து உங்களுக்கு ஓர் எரி கொள்ளியைக் கொண்டு வரவோ, அல்லது நாம் செல்ல வேண்டிய பாதையை அந் நெருப்பி(ன் உதவியி)னால் கண்டு பிடிக்கவோ செய்யலாம்" என்று (கூறினார்).

அவர் நெருப்பைக் கண்டு தம் குடும்பத்தாரிடம் "நீங்கள் (இங்கு சிறிது) தங்குங்கள்; நிச்சயமாக நான் நெருப்பைக் கண்டேன்; ஒரு வேளை அதிலிருந்து உங்களுக்கு ஓர் எரி கொள்ளியைக் கொண்டு வரவோ, அல்லது நாம் செல்ல வேண்டிய பாதையை அந் நெருப்பி(ன் உதவியி)னால் கண்டு பிடிக்கவோ செய்யலாம்" என்று (கூறினார்).

and when moses had fulfilled the term and departed with his household, he saw from far away on the side of the tor a fire. he said to his household: 'stay here, for i can see a fire. perhaps i can bring you news, or a flame from the fire so that you can warm yourselves'
ஆகவே மூஸா (தம்) தவணையை முடித்துக்கொண்டு, தம் குடும்பத்துடன் பயணம் செய்து கொண்டிருந்த போது 'தூர்' (மலையின்) பக்கத்தில் ஒரு நெருப்பைக் கண்டார்; அவர் தம் குடும்பத்தாரிடம் "நீங்கள் (இங்கு சிறிது) தங்குங்கள்; நிச்சயமாக, நான் ஒரு நெருப்பைக் காண்கின்றேன். நான் உங்களுக்கு அதிலிருந்து ஒரு செய்தியையோ, அல்லது நீங்கள் குளிர் காயும் பொருட்டு, ஒரு நெருப்புக் கங்கையோ கொண்டு வருகிறேன்" என்று கூறினார்.
