ஏதேனும் ஒரு வசனத்தை நாம் மாற்றினால் அல்லது அதனை மறக்கச் செய்தால் அதைவிட சிறந்ததையோ அல்லது அது போன்றதையோ நாம் கொண்டுவருவோம். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அனைத்துப்பொருட்களின் மீதும் சக்தியுள்ளவன் என்பதை நீர் அறியவில்லையா?

for whatever sign we change or eliminate or cause to recede into oblivion, we bring forth a better sign, one that is identical. do you not know that god has power over all things?
ஏதேனும் ஒரு வசனத்தை நாம் மாற்றினால் அல்லது அதனை மறக்கச் செய்தால் அதைவிட சிறந்ததையோ அல்லது அது போன்றதையோ நாம் கொண்டுவருவோம். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அனைத்துப்பொருட்களின் மீதும் சக்தியுள்ளவன் என்பதை நீர் அறியவில்லையா?

and the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. she said, "oh, i wish i had died before this and was in oblivion, forgotten."
பின்பு (அவருக்கு ஏற்பட்ட) பிரசவ வேதனை அவரை ஒரு பேரீத்த மரத்தின்பால் கொண்டு வந்தது "இதற்கு முன்பே நான் இறந்து, முற்றிலும் மறக்கப் பட்டவளாகி இருக்கக் கூடாதா" என்று கூறி(அரற்றி)னார்.

but one who says to his parents, "uff to you; do you promise me that i will be brought forth [from the earth] when generations before me have already passed on [into oblivion]?" while they call to allah for help [and to their son], "woe to you! believe! indeed, the promise of allah is truth." but he says, "this is not but legends of the former people" -
ஆனால் (சன்மார்க்கத்தை தழுவுமாறு கூறிய) தன் பெற்றோரை நோக்கி; "சீச்சீ! உங்களுக்கு என்ன நேர்ந்தது! (மரணத்திற்குப் பின்) நான் உயிர்ப்பித்து எழுப்பப்படுவேன் என்று நீங்கள் என்னைப் பயமுறுத்துகிறீர்களா? திடமாக எனக்கு முன்னர் எத்தனையோ தலைமுறையினர் சென்று விட்டனரே (அவர்கள் எழுப்பப்படவில்லையா)!" என்று கூறியவனைப் பாதுகாக்குமாறு அவ்விருவரும், (அல்லாஹ்விடம் பிரார்த்தித்து பிறகு அவனிடம்) "உனக்கென்ன கேடு! நீ ஈமான் கொள்வாயாக! நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வின் வாக்குறுதி மெய்யானது" என்று அல்லாஹ்விடம் காவல் தேடுகிறார்கள்; அதற்கவன் "இவையெல்லாம் முன்னுள்ளவர்களின் கட்டுக்கதைகளேயன்றி வேறில்லை" என்று கூறுகிறான்.
