but i fear my relatives after me; and my wife is barren. so grant me a successor as a favour from you
"இன்னும், எனக்குப் பின்னர் (என்) உறவினர்களைப்பற்றி நிச்சயமாக நான் அஞ்சகிறேன்; மேலும், என் மனைவியோ மலடாக இருக்கிறாள்; ஆகவே, நீ உன் புறத்திலிருந்து எனக்கு ஒரு வாரிசை அளிப்பாயாக!

and verily i fear my kindred after me, and my wife hath been barren; so bestow on me from before thee an heir.
"இன்னும், எனக்குப் பின்னர் (என்) உறவினர்களைப்பற்றி நிச்சயமாக நான் அஞ்சகிறேன்; மேலும், என் மனைவியோ மலடாக இருக்கிறாள்; ஆகவே, நீ உன் புறத்திலிருந்து எனக்கு ஒரு வாரிசை அளிப்பாயாக!

“and i fear for my dependents after me, and my wife is barren. so grant me, from yourself, an heir.
"இன்னும், எனக்குப் பின்னர் (என்) உறவினர்களைப்பற்றி நிச்சயமாக நான் அஞ்சகிறேன்; மேலும், என் மனைவியோ மலடாக இருக்கிறாள்; ஆகவே, நீ உன் புறத்திலிருந்து எனக்கு ஒரு வாரிசை அளிப்பாயாக!

"and verily! i fear my relatives after me, since my wife is barren. so give me from yourself an heir,
"இன்னும், எனக்குப் பின்னர் (என்) உறவினர்களைப்பற்றி நிச்சயமாக நான் அஞ்சகிறேன்; மேலும், என் மனைவியோ மலடாக இருக்கிறாள்; ஆகவே, நீ உன் புறத்திலிருந்து எனக்கு ஒரு வாரிசை அளிப்பாயாக!

he prayed, "lord forgive me! grant me such power as no one after me will have -- you are the most generous provider."
"என் இறைவனே! என்னை மன்னித்தருள்வாயாக! அன்றியும், பின்னர் எவருமே அடைய முடியாத ஓர் அரசாங்கத்தை எனக்கு நீ நன்கொடையளிப்பாயாக! நிச்சயமாக நீயே மிகப்பொருங் கொடையாளியாவாய்" எனக் கூறினார்.

he said, "my lord, forgive me and grant me a kingdom such as will not belong to anyone after me. indeed, you are the bestower."
"என் இறைவனே! என்னை மன்னித்தருள்வாயாக! அன்றியும், பின்னர் எவருமே அடைய முடியாத ஓர் அரசாங்கத்தை எனக்கு நீ நன்கொடையளிப்பாயாக! நிச்சயமாக நீயே மிகப்பொருங் கொடையாளியாவாய்" எனக் கூறினார்.

he said: my lord! do thou forgive me and grant me a kingdom which is not fit for (being inherited by) anyone after me;
"என் இறைவனே! என்னை மன்னித்தருள்வாயாக! அன்றியும், பின்னர் எவருமே அடைய முடியாத ஓர் அரசாங்கத்தை எனக்கு நீ நன்கொடையளிப்பாயாக! நிச்சயமாக நீயே மிகப்பொருங் கொடையாளியாவாய்" எனக் கூறினார்.

he said, 'my lord, forgive me, and give me a kingdom such as may not befall anyone after me; surely thou art the all-giver.'
"என் இறைவனே! என்னை மன்னித்தருள்வாயாக! அன்றியும், பின்னர் எவருமே அடைய முடியாத ஓர் அரசாங்கத்தை எனக்கு நீ நன்கொடையளிப்பாயாக! நிச்சயமாக நீயே மிகப்பொருங் கொடையாளியாவாய்" எனக் கூறினார்.

say: 'this is my way. i call to god with sure knowledge, i and whoever follows after me. to god be glory! and i am not among the idolaters.'
(நபியே!) நீர் சொல்வீராக! "இதுவே என்னுடைய (நேரிய) வழியாகும்; நான் அல்லாஹ்வின் பால் (உங்களை) அழைக்கின்றேன்; நானும் என்னைப் பின்பற்றியவர்களும் தெளிவான ஞானத்தின் மீதே இருக்கின்றோம்; அல்லாஹ் மிகத் தூய்மையானவன்; ஆகவே, அவனுக்கு இணைவைப்போரில் நானும் ஒருவனல்லன்."

he said: "my lord! forgive me, and bestow upon me a kingdom such as shall not belong to any other after me: verily, you are the bestower."
"என் இறைவனே! என்னை மன்னித்தருள்வாயாக! அன்றியும், பின்னர் எவருமே அடைய முடியாத ஓர் அரசாங்கத்தை எனக்கு நீ நன்கொடையளிப்பாயாக! நிச்சயமாக நீயே மிகப்பொருங் கொடையாளியாவாய்" எனக் கூறினார்.

"now i fear (what) my relatives (and colleagues) (will do) after me: but my wife is barren: so give me an heir as from thyself,-
"இன்னும், எனக்குப் பின்னர் (என்) உறவினர்களைப்பற்றி நிச்சயமாக நான் அஞ்சகிறேன்; மேலும், என் மனைவியோ மலடாக இருக்கிறாள்; ஆகவே, நீ உன் புறத்திலிருந்து எனக்கு ஒரு வாரிசை அளிப்பாயாக!
