"என் அருமைத் தந்தையே! நீங்கள் ஷைத்தானை வணங்காதீர்கள்; நிச்சயமாக ஷைத்தான், அர்ரஹ்மானுக்கு (அருள் மிக்க நாயனுக்கு) மாறு செய்பவன்.

and yet they say: "you, to whom this exposition has been sent are surely possessed of the devil.
(நினைவூட்டும்) வேதம் அருளப் பட்ட(தாகக் கூறுப)வரே! நிச்சயமாக நீர் பைத்தியக்காரர்தான் என்றும் கூறுகின்றனர்.

“o my father, do not be a bondman of the devil; indeed the devil is disobedient towards the most gracious.”
"என் அருமைத் தந்தையே! நீங்கள் ஷைத்தானை வணங்காதீர்கள்; நிச்சயமாக ஷைத்தான், அர்ரஹ்மானுக்கு (அருள் மிக்க நாயனுக்கு) மாறு செய்பவன்.

சங்கிலியால் விலங்கிடப்பட்டிருந்த வேறு பலரையும் (நாம் அவருக்குக் வசப்படுத்திக் கொடுத்தோம்).

o people who believe! enter islam in full – and do not follow the footsteps of the devil; indeed he is your open enemy.
நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களே! நீங்கள் தீனுல் இஸ்லாத்தில் முழுமையாக நுழைந்துவிடுங்கள்;. தவிர ஷைத்தானுடைய அடிச்சவடுகளை நீங்கள் பின்பற்றாதீர்கள்;. நிச்சயமாக அவன் உங்களுக்கு பகிரங்கமான பகைவன் ஆவான்,

its emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devils.
அதன் பாளைகள் ஷைத்தான்களின் தலைகளைப் போலிருக்கும்.

o mankind! eat from what is lawful and clean in the earth; and do not follow the footsteps of the devil; undoubtedly he is your open enemy.
மனிதர்களே! பூமியிலுள்ள பொருட்களில், அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டவற்றையும், பரிசுத்தமானவற்றையும் உண்ணுங்கள்;. ஷைத்தானின் அடிச்சுவடுகளை பின்பற்றாதீர்கள் - நிச்சயமாக அவன் உங்களுக்கு பகிரங்கமான பகைவனாவான்.

lo! the devil is an enemy for you, so treat him as an enemy. he only summoneth his faction to be owners of the flaming fire.
நிச்சயமாக ஷைத்தான் உங்களுக்குப் பகைவனாக இருக்கின்றான்; ஆகவே நீங்களும் அவனைப் பகைவனாகவே எடுத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்; அவன் (தன்னைப் பின்பற்றும்) தன் கூட்டத்தாரை அழைப்பதெல்லாம் அவர்கள் கொழுந்து விட்டெரியும் (நரக) நெருப்புக்கு உரியவர்களாய் இருப்பதற்காவே தான்.

o my father, i fear lest a punishment from ar-rahman should befall you, and you should become a friend of the devil."
"என் அருமைத் தந்தையே! நிச்சயமாக அர்ரஹ்மானிடமிருந்துள்ள வேதனைவந்து உங்களைத் தொட்டு, நீங்கள் ஷைத்தானின் கூட்டாளியாகி விடுவதைப் பற்றி நான் அஞ்சுகிறேன்" (என்றார்).

and yet they worship, besides allah, that which can neither benefit them nor hurt them; and the infidel is ever an aider of the devil against his lord.
இவ்வாறிருந்தும், அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வை அன்றி தங்களுக்கு நன்மை செய்யவோ, தீமையை செய்யவோ இயலாதவற்றை வணங்குகின்றனர் நிராகரிப்பவன் தன் இறைவனுக்கு எதிராக (தீய சக்திகளுக்கு) உதவி செய்பவனாகவே இருக்கிறான்.

did you not see those who received a portion of the book, that they believe in idols and the devil, and say regarding the disbelievers that they are more rightly guided than the muslims?
(நபியே) வேதத்தில் ஒரு பாகம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டவர்களை நீர் பார்க்கவில்லையா? இவர்கள் சிலைகளையும், ஷைத்தானையும், நம்பி காஃபிர்களைக் குறித்து இவர்கள் தாம் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களை விட நேரான பாதையில் இருக்கிறார்கள் என்றும் கூறுகின்றனர்.

and say, "my lord, i seek refuge in you from the incitements of the devils,
இன்னும்; நீர் கூறுவீராக! "என் இறைவனே! ஷைத்தானின் தூண்டுதல்களிலிருந்து நான் உன்னைக் கொண்டு காவல் தேடுகிறேன்" (என்றும்)

and from the cattle, some for burdens, some spread on the earth; eat of the sustenance which allah has bestowed upon you, and do not follow the footsteps of the devil; undoubtedly he is your open enemy.
இன்னும் கால்நடைகளில் சில சுமை சுமப்பதற்கும், சில உணவுக்காகவும் உள்ளன. அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கு அளித்ததிலிருந்து உண்ணுங்கள் - நீங்கள் ஷைத்தானின் அடிச்சுவடுகளைப் பின்பற்றாதீர்கள்- நிச்சயமாக அவன் உங்களுக்கு பகிரங்கமான பகைவனாவான்.

those who believe do battle for the cause of allah; and those who disbelieve do battle for the cause of idols. so fight the minions of the devil. lo! the devil's strategy is ever weak.
நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில் போர் செய்கிறார்கள்;. நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் ஷைத்தானின் பாதையில் போர் செய்கிறார்கள்;. ஆகவே (முஃமின்களாகிய) நீங்கள் ஷைத்தானின் நண்பர்களுக்கு எதிராகப் போர் புரியுங்கள் - நிச்சயமாக ஷைத்தானின் சூழ்ச்சி பலஹீனமானதேயாகும்.

and of the cattle (he produceth) some for burdens, some for food. eat of that which allah hath bestowed upon you, and follow not the footsteps of the devil, for lo! he is an open foe to you.
இன்னும் கால்நடைகளில் சில சுமை சுமப்பதற்கும், சில உணவுக்காகவும் உள்ளன. அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கு அளித்ததிலிருந்து உண்ணுங்கள் - நீங்கள் ஷைத்தானின் அடிச்சுவடுகளைப் பின்பற்றாதீர்கள்- நிச்சயமாக அவன் உங்களுக்கு பகிரங்கமான பகைவனாவான்.
