if we so pleased, we could turn your harvest into chaff. then you would start lamenting,
நாம் நாடினால் திட்டமாக அதனைக் கூளமாய் ஆக்கிவிடுவோம் - அப்பால் நீங்கள் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டுக் கொண்டு இருப்பீர்கள்.

so turn your attention away from them; you shall incur no blame.
ஆகவே (நபியே!) நீர் அவர்களைப் புறக்கணித்து (விலகி) விடும்; (அப்படி நீர் விலகிவிடுவீராயின் அதற்காக) நீர் பழிக்கப்படமாட்டீர்.

believers, when you encounter unbelievers on the march do not turn your backs to them in flight.
நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களே! நீங்கள் நிராகரிப்போரைப் (போரில்) ஒன்று திரண்டவர்களாக சந்தித்தால் அவர்களுக்கு புறமுதுகு காட்டாதீர்கள்.

let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined.
"ஆகவே, அதனை நம்பாது, தன் (மன) இச்சையைப் பின்பற்றுபவன் திடனாக அதைவிட்டும் உம்மைத் திருப்பிவிட வேண்டாம். அவ்வாறாயின், நீர் அழிந்துபோவீர்.

do what makes you happy and it turns your life better
உனக்கு எது சந்தோஷம் தருமோ அதை செய்

do not turn your cheek away disdainfully from the people, and do not walk exultantly on the earth. indeed allah does not like any swaggering braggart.
"(பெருமையோடு) உன் முகத்தை மனிதர்களை விட்டும் திருப்பிக் கொள்ளாதே! பூமியில் பெருமையாகவும் நடக்காதே! அகப்பெருமைக்காரர், ஆணவங் கொண்டோர் எவரையும் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நேசிக்க மாட்டான்.

do not turn your eyes covetously towards the embellishments of worldly life that we have bestowed upon various kinds of people to test them. but the clean provision bestowed upon you by your lord is better and more enduring.
இன்னும், அவர்களில் சில பிரிவினர் இன்பமனுபவிக்க நாம் கொடுத்திருக்கும் (வாழ்க்கை வசதிகளின்) பக்கம் உமது கண்களை நீட்டாதீர்; (இவையெல்லாம்) அவர்களைச் சோதிப்பதற்காகவே நாம் கொடுத்துள்ள உலக வாழ்க்கையின் அலங்காரங்களாகும். உமது இறைவன் (மறுமையில் உமக்கு) வழங்கவிருப்பது சிறந்ததும் நிலையானதும் ஆகும்.

and obey god and obey the messenger, and beware; but if you turn your backs, then know that it is only for our messenger to deliver the message manifest.
இன்னும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும் வழிபடுங்கள். (அவன்) தூதருக்கும் வழிபடுங்கள். எச்சரிக்கையாக இருந்து கொள்ளுங்கள். (இதனை) நீங்கள் புறக்கணித்துவிட்டால், (நம் கட்டளைகளைத்) தெளிவாக எடுத்து விளக்குவது மட்டுமே நம் தூதர்மீது கடமையாகும் என்பதை நீங்கள் அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்.

and from whatsoever place you come forth, turn your face towards the sacred mosque; and surely it is the very truth from your lord, and allah is not at all heedless of what you do.
ஆகவே (நபியே!) நீர் எங்கிருந்து புறப்பட்டாலும் (தொழுகையின் போது) உம் முகத்தைப் புனிதப் பள்ளிவாயிலின் பக்கமே திருப்பிக்கொள்வீராக. நிச்சயமாக இதுதான் உம் இறைவனிடமிருந்து வந்த உண்மை-அல்லாஹ் நீங்கள் செய்பவை பற்றிப் பராமுகமாக இல்லை.

and do not turn your face away from people in contempt, nor go about in the land exulting overmuch; surely allah does not love any self-conceited boaster;
"(பெருமையோடு) உன் முகத்தை மனிதர்களை விட்டும் திருப்பிக் கொள்ளாதே! பூமியில் பெருமையாகவும் நடக்காதே! அகப்பெருமைக்காரர், ஆணவங் கொண்டோர் எவரையும் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நேசிக்க மாட்டான்.

"a day when ye shall turn your backs and flee: no defender shall ye have from allah: any whom allah leaves to stray, there is none to guide...
"அல்லாஹ்வை விட்டும் உங்களைக் காப்பாற்றுபவர் எவருமில்லாத நிலையில் நீங்கள் பின் வாங்கும் நாள் (அது) அன்றியும் அல்லாஹ் யாரைத் தவறான வழியில் விட்டுவிடுகின்றானோ, அவனுக்கு நேர்வழி காட்டுவோர் எவருமில்லை.

ஆகவே (நபியே!) நீர் எங்கிருந்து புறப்பட்டாலும் (தொழுகையின் போது) உம் முகத்தைப் புனிதப் பள்ளிவாயிலின் பக்கமே திருப்பிக்கொள்வீராக. நிச்சயமாக இதுதான் உம் இறைவனிடமிருந்து வந்த உண்மை-அல்லாஹ் நீங்கள் செய்பவை பற்றிப் பராமுகமாக இல்லை.
