மேகத்திலிருந்து அதை நீங்கள் இறக்கினீர்களா? அல்லது நாம் இறக்குகிறோமா?

it was not the satans who brought it down:
இன்னும், ஷைத்தான்கள் இ(வ் வேதத்)தைக் கொண்டு இறங்கவில்லை.

and earth -- he set it down for all beings,
இன்னும், பூமியை - படைப்பினங்களுக்காக அவனே விரித்தமைத்தான்.

indeed we sent it down on the night of ordainment.

behold, we sent it down on the night of power;
நிச்சயமாக நாம் அதை (குர்ஆனை) கண்ணியமிக்க (லைலத்துல் கத்ர்) என்ற இரவில் இறக்கினோம்.

and had we sent it down upon a person other than an arab,
அவரும் இதை அவர்களுக்கு ஓதிக் காட்டி இருப்பாராயின் அவர்கள் இதன் மீது நம்பிக்கை கொண்டோராக இருக்க மாட்டார்கள்.

and he cast it down, and behold it was a serpent sliding.
அவ்வாறே அவர் அதனைக் கீழே எறிந்தார், அப்போது அது ஊர்ந்து செல்லும் ஒரு பாம்பாயிற்று.
