and the lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the lord our god, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.
พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงบัญชาให้เรากระทำตามกฎเกณฑ์เหล่านี้ทั้งสิ้น คือให้ยำเกรงพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเรา เพื่อเป็นผลดีแก่เราเสมอ เพื่อพระองค์จะทรงรักษาชีวิตของเราไว้ให้คงอยู่ ดังทุกวันนี

wherefore my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of judah and in the streets of jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.
เพราะฉะนั้น เราจึงได้เทความเดือดดาลและความโกรธของเราออกให้พลุ่งขึ้นในหัวเมืองยูดาห์ และในถนนหนทางของกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม และเมืองเหล่านั้นก็ถูกทิ้งไว้เสียเปล่าและรกร้างไป อย่างทุกวันนี

ทรงเป็นผู้สำแดงหมายสำคัญและการมหัศจรรย์ในแผ่นดินอียิปต์ และจนถึงสมัยนี้ก็ทรงสำแดงในอิสราเอลและท่ามกลางมนุษยชาติ และทรงทำให้พระนามเลื่องลือไปอย่างทุกวันนี

and now, o lord our god, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
แล้วบัดนี้ โอ ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย ผู้ทรงนำชนชาติของพระองค์ออกจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์ด้วยพระหัตถ์อันทรงฤทธิ์ และได้ทำให้พระนามลือมาจนทุกวันนี้ ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายได้กระทำบาป และข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายกระทำความชั่

and saul said unto him, why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast inquired of god for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
