ดังนั้นจะให้เราหันเหข้อตักเตือนนี้จากพวกเจ้าเสียทีเดียว เพราะพวกเจ้าเป็นหมู่ชนผู้ฝ่าฝืนกระนั้นหรือ

we know that we cannot frustrate allah in the earth, nor can we frustrate him by flight.
และแท้จริงเราคาดคิดว่า เราจะไม่รอดพ้นจาก (การลงโทษ) ของอัลลอฮฺในแผ่นดินนี้ และเราจะหนีไม่รอดพ้นไปจากพระองค์

and we know that we cannot escape from allah in the earth, nor can we escape by flight.
และแท้จริงเราคาดคิดว่า เราจะไม่รอดพ้นจาก (การลงโทษ) ของอัลลอฮฺในแผ่นดินนี้ และเราจะหนีไม่รอดพ้นไปจากพระองค์

and that we know that we cannot escape allah in the earth, nor can we escape him by flight:
และแท้จริงเราคาดคิดว่า เราจะไม่รอดพ้นจาก (การลงโทษ) ของอัลลอฮฺในแผ่นดินนี้ และเราจะหนีไม่รอดพ้นไปจากพระองค์

and we have become certain that we will never cause failure to allah upon earth, nor can we escape him by flight.
และแท้จริงเราคาดคิดว่า เราจะไม่รอดพ้นจาก (การลงโทษ) ของอัลลอฮฺในแผ่นดินนี้ และเราจะหนีไม่รอดพ้นไปจากพระองค์

'but we think that we can by no means frustrate allah throughout the earth, nor can we frustrate him by flight.
และแท้จริงเราคาดคิดว่า เราจะไม่รอดพ้นจาก (การลงโทษ) ของอัลลอฮฺในแผ่นดินนี้ และเราจะหนีไม่รอดพ้นไปจากพระองค์

but she pointed to the babe. they said: "how can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?"
นางชี้ไปทางเขา พวกเขากล่าวว่า “เราจะพูดกับผู้ที่อยู่ในเปลที่เป็นเด็กได้อย่างไร?”

thereupon she pointed towards the child; they said, “how can we speak to an infant who is in the cradle?”
นางชี้ไปทางเขา พวกเขากล่าวว่า “เราจะพูดกับผู้ที่อยู่ในเปลที่เป็นเด็กได้อย่างไร?”

can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book?
เมื่อเราตายไปแล้ว และเราได้กลายเป็นดินผงและกระดูก เราจะถูกตอบแทนจริงหรือ? “

"what cause can we have not to believe in allah and the truth which has come to us, seeing that we long for our lord to admit us to the company of the righteous?"

and they say: when we are lost in the earth, how can we then be re-created? nay but they are disbelievers in the meeting with their lord.

she pointed to the baby (and referred them to him for their answer). they said, "how can we talk to a baby in the cradle?"

they said, “o zul-qarnain, the gog and magog are spreading chaos in the land. can we pay you, to build between us and them a wall?”

of all of god's creation, humanity is unique in its ability to express itself with language. but sometimes conversational words fail to communicate the depth of what we're thinking and feeling. we're emotive and our communication can move beyond facts to feelings, intentions, hopes and dreams. not only can we express these things for ourselves, but we can do so in a way that evokes these emotions and feelings in others.
