nor are you going to serve him whom i serve:
และพวกท่านก็มิใช่เป็นผู้เคารพภักดีพระเจ้าที่ฉันเคารพภักดี

are you, then, going to contend with him regarding what he sees with his eyes?
แล้วพวกเจ้าจะโต้เถียงกับเขาเกี่ยวกับสิ่งที่เขาได้เห็นอีกหรือ

and it was said to the people: "are you (too) going to assemble?
และได้มีประกาศแก่มหาชน พวกท่านจะไปร่วมชุมนุมด้วยไหม?

say, “it is revealed to me that your god is one god. are you going to submit?”
จงกล่าวเถิดมุฮัมมัด “แท้จริงฉันได้รับวะฮีมา ให้ประกาศว่า แท้จริงพระเจ้าของพวกท่านนั้นคือพระเจ้าองค์เดียว ดังนั้นพวกท่านยังมิยอมนอนน้อมอีกหรือ?”

say, “are you going to teach god about your religion, when god knows everything in the heavens and the earth, and god is aware of all things?”
จงกล่าวเถิดมุฮัมมัดว่า พวกท่านจะบอกอัลลอฮฺเกี่ยวกับศาสนาของพวกท่านกระนั้นหรือ? อัลลอฮฺนั้นทรงรอบรู้สิ่งที่อยู่ในชั้นฟ้าทั้งหลาย และแผ่นดิน และอัลลอฮฺนั้นทรงรอบรู้ทุกสิ่งทุกอย่าง

or lest you say, "our forefathers associated others with god before our time, and we are only the descendants who came after them. so are you going to destroy us for what those inventors of falsehood did?"
“หรือไม่ก็พวกเจ้าจะกล่าวว่า ที่จริงนั้นบรรพบุรุษของพวกข้าพระองค์ได้ให้ภาคีขึ้นมาก่อนและพวกเรเาป็นลูกหลานที่มาหลังจากพวกเขา แล้วพระองค์จะทรงทำลายพวกเรา เนื่องด้วยการกระทำของบรรดาผู้ที่ทำให้เสียกระนั้นหรือ ?”

are you going to compel the people to believe except by god's dispensation? he puts doubt in (the minds of) those who do not think.
และมิเคยปรากฏว่าชีวิตใดจะศรัทธาเว้นแต่ด้วยอนุมัติของอัลลอฮ์ และพระองค์จะทรงลงโทษแก่บรรดาผู้ไม่ใช้สติปัญญา

and recall what time a community of them said why exhort ye a people whom allah is going to destroy or chastise with a severe chastisenent they said: to justify us before your lord, and that haply they may fear.
“และจงรำลึกขณะที่กลุ่มหนึ่ง ในพวกเขากล่าวว่า เพราะเหตุใดเล่าพวกท่านจึงตักเตือนกลุ่มชน ที่อัลลอฮ์จะทรงเป็นผู้ทำลายพวกเขาหรือเป็นผู้ลงโทษพวกเขาอย่างรุนแรง? พวกเขากล่าวว่า (การที่เราตักเตือนนั้น) เพื่อเป็นข้ออ้าง ต่อพระเจ้าของพวกเจ้า และเพื่อว่าพวกเขาจะได้ยำเกรง”

and consider what time they will wrangle together in the fire, and the oppressed will say unto those who were stiff-necked: verily we have been unto you a following, are ye going to avail us against a portion of the fire?
และจงรำลึกถึงเมื่อพวกเขาโต้เถียงกันในนรก พวกอ่อนแอแกล่าวกับพวกหัวหน้าว่า “แท้จริงพวกเราเป็นผู้ตามพวกท่าน ดังนั้นพวกท่านจะช่วยพวกเราให้พ้นจากการลงโทษสักส่วนหนึ่งของไฟนรกนี้ได้ไหม?

and recall what time we shook the mountain over them as though it were a canopy, and they imagined that it was going to fall on them; and we said: hold with firmness that which we have vouchsafed you, and remember that which is therein, that haply ye may fear.
“และจงรำลึกขณะที่เราได้ให้ภูเขาลูกนั้น ไหวตัว และถอนตัวขึ้นเหนือพวกเขา ประหนึ่งมันเป็นสิ่งที่ให้เงาร่ม กระนั้น และพวกเขาคิดว่ามันจะตกลงทับพวกเขา พวกเจ้าจงยึดเอาสิ่ง ที่เราได้ให้ไว้แก่พวกเจ้าด้วยความเข้มแข็ง และจงรำลึกถึงสิ่ง ที่มีอยู่ในนั้น หวังว่าพวกเจ้าจะเกรงกลัว”

and recall what time thine lord said unto the angels: verily i am going to place a vicegerent on the earth. they said: wilt thou place therein one who will act corruptly therein and shed blood while we hallow thine praise and glorify thee! allah said: verily i know that which ye know not.
และจงรำลึกถึงขณะที่พระเจ้าของเจ้าได้ตรัสแก่มะลาอิกะฮฺว่า แท้จริงข้าจะให้มีผู้แทนคนหนึ่ง ในพิภพ มะลาอิกะฮฺได้ทูลขึ้นว่า พระองค์จะทรงให้มีขึ้นในพิภพซึ่งผู้ที่บ่อนทำลาย และก่อการนองเลือด ในพิภพกระนั้นหรือ ? ทั้ง ๆ ที่พวกข้าพระองค์ให้ความบริสุทธิ์ พร้อมด้วยการสรรเสริญพระองค์ และเทิดทูนความบริสุทธิ์ในพระองค์ พระองค์ตรัสว่า แท้จริงข้ารู้ยิ่งในสิ่งที่พวกเจ้าไม่รู้

and recall what time his lord proved ibrahim with certain words then he performed them. he said: verily i am going to make thee a leader unto mankind. ibrahim said: and also of my progeny? allah said: my covenant shall not reach the wrong-doers.
และจงรำลึกถึง ขณะที่พระเจ้าของอิบรอฮีมได้ทดสอบเขา ด้วยพระบัญชาบางประการ แล้วเขาก็ได้สนองตามพระบัญชานั้นโดยครบถ้วน พระองค์ตรัสว่า แท้จริงข้าจะให้เจ้าเป็นผู้นำมนุษย์ชาติ เขากล่าวว่า และจากลูกหลานของข้าพระองค์ด้วย พระองค์ตรัสว่า สัญญาของข้านั้นจะไม่ได้แก่บรรดาผู้อธรรม

a believing man from pharaoh's family, who had concealed his faith, said, “are you going to kill a man for saying, `my lord is god,’ and he has brought you clear proofs from your lord? if he is a liar, his lying will rebound upon him; but if he is truthful, then some of what he promises you will befall you. god does not guide the extravagant imposter.
และชายผู้ศรัทธาคนหนึ่งจากพวกพ้องของฟิรเอานฺ ซึ่งปกปิดการศรัทธาของเขากล่าวว่าพวกท่านจะฆ่าชายคนหนึ่ง ที่เขากล่าวว่า พระเจ้าของฉันคืออัลลอฮฺกระนั้นหรือ ? และแน่นอนเยาได้นำหลักฐานทั้งหลายอันชัดแจ้ง มาจากพระเจ้าของพวกท่านมายังพวกท่าน และหากว่าเขาเป็นคนโกหก การโกหกของเขาก็อยู่บนเขาเอง และหากว่าเขาเป็นคนพูดจริง ส่วนหนึ่งจากที่เขาได้สัญญาไว้กับพวกท่านก็จะประสบแก่พวกท่าน แท้จริงอัลลอฮฺจะไม่ชี้แนะทางแก่ผู้ที่เขาเป็นผู้ละเมิดนักโกหกตัวฉกาจ
