yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
abe ke engenangcambu ngaphakathi kwakhe, eme umzuzwana kodwa; uthi ke kwakuhla imbandezelo nokuba yintshutshiso ngenxa yelizwi, akhutyekiswe kwaoko.

and, behold, as thy life was much set by this day in mine eyes, so let my life be much set by in the eyes of the lord, and let him deliver me out of all tribulation.

when thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the lord thy god, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
ekubandezelekeni kwenu, zakunifumana zonke ezi zinto, ekupheleleni kwemihla, nobuyela kuyehova uthixo wenu, niliphulaphule ilizwi lakhe.

immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
kwaoko ke, emveni kwembandezelo yaloo mihla, ilanga liya kwenziwa mnyama, ithi nenyanga ifiphale, zithi neenkwenkwezi ziwe ezulwini, athi namandla amazulu azanyazanyiswe.

these things i have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. in the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; i have overcome the world.
ezi zinto ndizithethile kuni, ukuze nibe noxolo kum. ehlabathini niya kuba nembandezelo; yomelelani, mna ndiloyisile ihlabathi.

and i said unto him, sir, thou knowest. and he said to me, these are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the lamb.
ndithi kuyo, nkosi, nguwe owaziyo. yathi kum, aba ngabaphumayo embandezelweni enkulu, bazihlamba iingubo zabo ezinde, bazenza mhlophe egazini lemvana.

and ye have this day rejected your god, who himself saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto him, nay, but set a king over us. now therefore present yourselves before the lord by your tribes, and by your thousands.
namhla ke nimcekisile nina uthixo wenu, owanisindisayo ebubini benu bonke, nasekubandezelweni konke, nathi kuye, simisele ukumkani phezu kwethu. kaloku ke zimiseni phambi koyehova ngokwezizwe zenu, nangokwamawaka enu.
