useita testejä tehdään lisäämällä johtopainetta asteittain ajoneuvon suurimman jarrutussuhteen (zmax) määrittämiseksi.
a number of tests at increments of line pressure shall be carried out to determine the maximum braking rate of the vehicle (zmax).

zmax on laskettava kolmen testin keskiarvon perusteella, saadun ajan ollessa edellä 1.4 kohdassa tarkoitetun nopeuden alenemisen aikaansaamiseksi tarvittava aika.
zmax is calculated on the on the basis of the average of the three tests, using the time taken for the speed of the vehicle to achieve the reductions in speed specified in 1.4.

pitokyvyn hyödyntäminen määritellään lukkiutumisen estolaitteen toimiessa saadun suurimman jarrutussuhteen (zmax) ja lukkiutumisen estolaitteen ollessa kytkettynä irti saadun suurimman jarrutussuhteen (zm) osamääränä.
the adhesion utilized is defined as the quotient of the maximum braking rate with the anti-lock device in operation (zmax) and the maximum braking rate with the anti-lock disconnected (zm).
