da qui passava l'antica strada proveniente da begato la quale, attraversata la porta, discendeva verso l'attuale via adua. l'antico percorso d'accesso, all'inizio del xx secolo, è stato sostituito dalla rotabile attuale; la porta è rimasta così abbandonata e l'antica strada cancellata da rovi e sterpi.
