questo modulo è stato realizzato con il progetto open source nfsen, che è in grado di ricevere i flussi netflow di router e switch.

questi flussi di dati netflow possono essere disposti su un asse temporale in base all’indirizzo ip, il numero della porta e il protocollo per poter essere analizzati ed eventualmente inviare segnali di allarme.
netflow data can be arranged on a timeline based on ip address, port number and protocol to be analyzed and eventually to send alert signals.

visto però che apparati che supportano netflow non sono così comuni, spesso sono costosi e limitati, ho deciso di scrivere il mio probe netflow chiamandolo nprobe. questo mi ha dato modo di far conoscere il progetto ntop anche in ambito commerciale laddove ntop faceva fatica ad entrare.
the device that are supporting netflow are not very common, they are often expensive and limited, so i have decided to develop my netflow probe named nprobe on my own. in this way i had the opportunity to make the project ntop be visible also on commercial level.
