nawe hukuwa unataraji kuletewa kitabu; lakini ni rehema tu ya mola wako mlezi.
(o prophet), you never looked forward for the book to be revealed to you. it is out of sheer mercy of your lord that it was (revealed to you).

mitume hao ni wabashiri na waonyaji, ili watu wasiwe na hoja juu ya mwenyezi mungu baada ya kuletewa mitume.
[we sent] messengers as bringers of good tidings and warners so that mankind will have no argument against allah after the messengers.

nawe hukuwa unataraji kuletewa kitabu; lakini ni rehema tu ya mola wako mlezi. basi usiwe msaidizi wa makafiri.
and thou hadst not expected that the book would be sent to thee except as a mercy from thy lord: therefore lend not thou support in any way to those who reject (allah's message).

na lau kama mwenyezi mungu angeli wafanyia watu haraka kuwaletea shari kama wanavyo jihimizia kuletewa kheri, bila ya shaka wangelisha timiziwa ajali yao.
and if allah was to hasten for the people the evil [they invoke] as he hastens for them the good, their term would have been ended for them.

mitume hao ni wabashiri na waonyaji, ili watu wasiwe na hoja juu ya mwenyezi mungu baada ya kuletewa mitume. na mwenyezi mungu ni mwenye nguvu, mwenye hikima.
(we sent) apostles as the givers of good news and as warners, so that people should not have a plea against allah after the (coming of) apostles; and allah is mighty, wise.

na lau kama mwenyezi mungu angeli wafanyia watu haraka kuwaletea shari kama wanavyo jihimizia kuletewa kheri, bila ya shaka wangelisha timiziwa ajali yao. lakini tunawaacha wale wasio tumainia kukutana nasi wakihangaika katika upotovu wao.
and if allah should hasten the evil to men as they desire the hastening on of good, their doom should certainly have been decreed for them; but we leave those alone who hope not for our meeting in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on.
