and [had you been present], you would see the sun when it rose, inclining away from their cave on the right, and when it set, passing away from them on the left, while they were [laying] within an open space thereof.

vijana hao walipo kimbilia kwenye pango walisema: mola wetu mlezi! tupe rehema itokayo kwako, na tutengezee uwongofu katika jambo letu.
[mention] when the youths retreated to the cave and said, "our lord, grant us from yourself mercy and prepare for us from our affair right guidance."

na unaliona jua linapo chomoza linainamia kuliani mwao kutoka hapo pangoni; na linapo kuchwa linawakwepa kushotoni, na wao wamo katika uwazi wa pango. hizo ni katika ishara za mwenyezi mungu.
and o dear prophet (mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) you will see the sun that when it rises it shifts away to the right of their cave, and when it sets it shifts away to their left, and they are in the open ground of that cave; this is from among the signs of allah; whomever allah guides – only he is therefore guided; and whomever he sends astray – you will never find for him a friend who guides.

ikiwa nyinyi hamtamnusuru mtume, basi mwenyezi mungu alikwisha mnusuru walipo mtoa walio kufuru, naye ni wa pili katika wawili walipo kuwa katika pango, naye akamwambia sahibu yake: usihuzunike.
if ye help him not, still allah helped him when those who disbelieve drove him forth, the second of two; when they two were in the cave, when he said unto his comrade: grieve not.

akisema, "imeandikwa: nyumba yangu itakuwa nyumba ya sala; lakini ninyi mmeifanya kuwa pango la wanyang'anyi."

ikiwa nyinyi hamtamnusuru mtume, basi mwenyezi mungu alikwisha mnusuru walipo mtoa walio kufuru, naye ni wa pili katika wawili walipo kuwa katika pango, naye akamwambia sahibu yake: usihuzunike. hakika mwenyezi mungu yu pamoja nasi.
if ye help not (your leader), (it is no matter): for allah did indeed help him, when the unbelievers drove him out: he had no more than one companion; they two were in the cave, and he said to his companion, "have no fear, for allah is with us": then allah sent down his peace upon him, and strengthened him with forces which ye saw not, and humbled to the depths the word of the unbelievers.
