and (as for) those who disbelieve, for them is the fire of hell; it shall not be finished with them entirely so that they should die, nor shall the chastisement thereof be lightened to them: even thus do we retribute every ungrateful one.

நிச்சயமாக இதற்கு முன்னரும் அவர்கள் குழப்பத்தை விரும்பியிருக்கிறார்கள். உமது காரியங்களை புரட்டியும் இருக்கிறார்கள். முடிவில் சத்தியம் வந்தது. அவர்கள் வெறுக்கக் கூடியவர்களாக உள்ள நிலையில் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய காரியம் (மார்க்கம்) மேலோங்கியது.
aforetime they sought to cause sedition and raised difficulties for thee till the truth came and the decree of allah was made manifest, though they were loth.

(ஆகவே, இறைதூதருக்கு) வழிபட்டு நடப்பதும், நன்மையான சொல்லுமே (மேலானதாகும்) எனவே, ஒரு காரியம் உறுதியாகி விட்டால், அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அவர்கள் உண்மையாக நடந்து கொண்டால் அதுவே அவர்களுக்கு நன்மையாக இருக்கும்.
(they keep affirming their) obedience and saying good words. but when a course of action was clearly determined, it would have been better for them if they had proved true to allah.
