"நிச்சயமாக இவர்கள் நம்மை(ப் பெருங்) கோபத்திற்குள்ளாக்கி விட்டனர்.

'but those who swerve,- they are (but) fuel for hell-fire'-

அவர்கள் அதன் கால் நரம்பதை; துண்டித்து (கொன்று) விட்டனர். அதனால் அவர்கள் கைசேதப்பட்டவர்களாகவே ஆகிவிட்டார்கள்.
"and touch her not with harm, lest the torment of a great day seize you."

நிச்சயமாக நாம் அவர்களுடைய கழுத்துகளில் மோவாய்க் கட்டைகள் வரையில், அரிகண்டங்களைப் போட்டிருக்கின்றோம், ஆகவே அவர்கள் (குனிய முடியாதவாறு) தலை நிமிர்ந்து விட்டனர்.
indeed we have put iron collars around their necks, which are up to the chins, so their heads are upturned.

எவர்கள் அறிவில்லாமல் மூடத்தனமாக தம் குழந்தைகளைக் கொலை செய்தார்களோ இன்னும் தங்களுக்கு அல்லாஹ் உண்ண அனுமதித்திருந்ததை அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது பொய் கூறி (ஆகாதென்று) தடுத்துக் கொண்டார்களோ, அவர்கள் வழிகெட்டு விட்டனர், நேர்வழி பெற்றவர்களாக இல்லை.
indeed lost are they who have killed their children, from folly, without knowledge, and have forbidden that which allah has provided for them, inventing a lie against allah. they have indeed gone astray and were not guided.

(அல்லாஹ்விடம் தங்களை) நெருங்க வைக்கும் தெய்வங்களென்று அல்லாஹ் அல்லாதவற்றை இவர்கள் எடுத்துக் கொண்டார்களே, அவர்கள் ஏன் இவர்களுக்கு உதவி புரியவில்லை? ஆனால், அவர்கள் இவர்களை விட்டும் மறைந்து விட்டனர் - அவர்களே இவர்கள் பொய்யாகக் கூறியதையும், இட்டுக் கட்டியவையுமாகும்.
so why did not those [fake deities] help them whom they had taken as gods besides allah, as a means of nearness [to him]? indeed, they forsook them; that was their lie and what they used to fabricate.
