[db 1.102.8] lidé činí rozdíly a nepovažují všechny za hodné jejich moudrosti; ale bůh tento velký učitel všech sluncí, duchů, zemí a všech lidí si neoškliví a nepovažuje pod svou důstojnost býti nejmoudřejším učitelem červu v prachu a trusnici, jakož i každému jinému zvířeti, i kdyby bylo sebemenší a nepatrnější! lidé považují své příbytky za svaté a nechávají své vlastní děti a bratry padati před sebou na tvář, kdežto bůh nechává dokonce nejobyčejnější zvíře po zemi svobodně a beze všeho padání na tvář volně se pohybovati.
