their use, along with the purposes and conditions, must be approved by the system security officer in advance.

new encryption methods will be needed, which will in turn require changes in the hardware (longer “key lengths”).
when cryptographic methods are required to provide confidentiality, integrity and availability protection such methods or associated products shall be specifically approved for the purpose by the saa.
during transmission, the confidentiality of information classified secret ue and above shall be protected by cryptographic methods or products approved by the council upon recommendation of the council security committee.
all encryption schemes are only as strong as their weakest link. in general, unless you have some previous training/knowledge, it is better to leave this module unchanged.
thirdly, encryption is also possible using methods that allow one to hide a message in other data (e.g. images) in such a way that even the existence of a secret message and thus the use of encryption cannot be detected.
during transmission, the confidentiality of information classified confidentiel ue or restreint ue shall be protected by cryptographic methods or products approved either by the sg/hr upon recommendation of the council security committee or by a member state.
