in het hoofdstuk over het beheren van meerdere nieuwsaccounts krijgt u meer informatie over het gebruik van meerdere nieuwsaccounts. voor de meeste gebruikers geldt echter dat zij maar één nieuwsaccount gebruiken.

het veld ‘antwoord naar’ tonen bij posten naar een nieuwsgroep. dit wordt bediend vanuit het menu beeld wanneer er een nieuwsaccount is gekozen.
show the "reply to" field when posting to a newsgroup. this is controlled from the view menu when a news account is chosen.

de naam die u in het tekstvak naam invult, wordt zichtbaar in de mapweergave. u kunt hier bijvoorbeeld de naam van uw internetprovider invullen; in dit voorbeeld vullen we de naam mijn nieuwsaccount in.
the name field can be filled in as you like; the text you enter will later be visible in the folder view. you could, for example, enter the name of your internet provider; for our example we enter the name my news account.

nu hebt u uw nieuwsaccount ingesteld. u kunt de instellingen bewaren door op de knop ok te klikken. zodra u dat gedaan hebt verschijnt de naam die u hebt ingevuld in het veld naam in de lijst en u kunt zien dat de naam ook al is toegevoegd aan de mappenlijst van het hoofdvenster.
by now you have completed the setup of your news account. you can confirm and save your settings by clicking on the ok button: as soon as you have done that, the account will appear in the list by the name that you entered in name earlier; and, if you have a close look, you will see that the account also appears in the folder view.

nu moeten we & knode; gaan vertellen waar het nieuws vandaan moet komen en waar de te plaatsen artikelen afgeleverd moeten worden. in de boomstructuur aan de linkerkant staat accounts, klik hierop. er verschijnen nu twee nieuwe opties. klik nu op nieuws, zodat we allereerst het nieuwsaccount kunnen gaan instellen. de lijst met accounts zal waarschijnlijk leeg zijn.
now we must tell & knode; about where we get the news from or where to send the articles to later on. in the tree view on the right, there is an accounts entry; click on it with the mouse; then, two sub entries will be opened out. choose the news entry, because we first want to configure the news account: the list of accounts is still empty.
