the purpose of aig is to join efforts of professionals in different areas related to ageing in order to: (a) promote basic and applied research in all areas relating to ageing; (b) perform and promote the divulgation of information on progress in ageing-related research, as well as its application; (c) establish scientific exchange with national, international and foreign governmental or non-governmental organizations that pursue similar objectives; (d) stimulate the permanent training of its members in all aspects associated with ageing; (e) facilitate training of highly qualified personnel in the field of gerontology research ; and (f) serve as a consultant and advisor on national policies and development plans to governmental and non-governmental organizations working on ageing. asociación multidisciplinaria de gerontologia amag)
الغرض من الرابطة هو توحيد جهود المهنيين في مجالات مختلفة تتصل بالشيخوخة بغية تحقيق ما يلي: (أ) تشجيع البحوث الأساسية والتطبيقية في جميع المجالات المتصلة بالشيخوخة؛ (ب) القيام بنشر معلومات عن ما أحرز من تقدم في البحوث المتصلة بالشيخوخة وتشجيع نشرها، فضلا عن تطبيقها؛ (ج) القيام بتبادل المعلومات مع المنظمات الوطنية والدولية والحكومية الأجنبية وغير الحكومية التي تسعى لتحقيق أهداف مشابهة؛ (د) تشجيع تدريب أعضائها بصورة دائمة في جميع الجوانب المتصلة بالشيخوخة؛ (هـ) تيسير تدريب أفراد ذوي مهارات عالية في ميدان بحوث الشيخوخة؛ (و) وتقديم المشورة والنصح بشأن السياسات الوطنية والخطط الإنمائية للمنظمات الحكومية وغير الحكومية المعنية بالشيخوخة.
