what is the life of this world but amusement and play? but verily the home in the hereafter,- that is life indeed, if they but knew.
mana aha noloshan adduunyo ciyaar iyo dheeldheel mooyee, daarta aakhiraana meel nololeed ah hadday wax ogyihiin dadku.

[this] worldly life is only amusement and diversion. and if you believe and fear allah, he will give you your rewards and not ask you for your properties.

and of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. those will have a humiliating punishment.
dadka waxaa ka mid ah kuwo gadan hadal wax shuqliya si uu uga dhumiyo (dadka) jidka eebe iyagoon wax ogayn, jidka eebene ku jees jeesa, kuwaasi waxay mudan cadaab dulleeya.

"such as took their religion to be mere amusement and play, and were deceived by the life of the world." that day shall we forget them as they forgot the meeting of this day of theirs, and as they were wont to reject our signs.
