(he boasts and shows off) saying, "i have spent a great deal of money (for the cause of god)".

and if some women go away from the muslims to the disbelievers – then when you punish the disbelievers, give from the war booty to the muslims who lost their wives the amount they had spent; and fear allah in whom you believe.

(as for) those who spend their property in the way of allah, then do not follow up what they have spent with reproach or injury, they shall have their reward from their lord, and they shall have no fear nor shall they grieve.
